Epic Procrastination

First solo recording in recently cobbled together bare bones home studio.

Wrote lyrics first for my Aeon Now bandmate Olive Del Sol to put music too.  While waiting for that to happen a tune came to me and so now two completely different version of this exist.  We'll be recording Olive's lovely version soon.

Used canned trap drums and one sound effect file.  Two notes from Joseph Sheedy on Bari Sax and end vocals by Olive Del Sol.  Other percussion includes those inflatable tubes you bash together at sports matches, mouth pops, keys being thrown up and caught.  Other instruments:  toy piano, saw, melodica, trombone, bass guitar, Stylophone, whistling.

West of the Sun (11 15 2010)

Essentially the same track, but attempted to process the vocal track to sound like an old jazz recording:  song was partly inspired by seeing a crooner sing something like this in an old movie a while back.

The Sound of the Loon (w/old fashioned vocals)

Rough demo.  Written during Bush Admin, but just recorded now.  Need snare in place of bongos for proper martial feel.  Need actual bass player and punk singer, though I like the choral section.  Need proper mixing.

Abolish It

Sadly we didn't mike Olive's vocal separately, so the mix is poor, but it was a pretty hot take.

Most of the songs posted here are/will be self-produced solo recordings of music I've composed. Not really being a guitarist, pianist, or drummer makes trying to be a one man band a little tricky, but it does make my music not sound much like other solo artists. I'd like to rerecord some of these with people who can really play some of the instruments I try, but I'm having fun with it.
I'm also in the bands Aeon Now, Tiny Manhood, and the Yellow Hat Band, all of whom can be heard elsewhere on the web.
