I started writing this one in my head the day after my brother passed away, though it didn't fully form until 2021. I was going for kind of a classic soul ballad thing and will probably eventually do with a full band and string arrangement, but here's the acoustic demo. I recorded it with a Rode NT1 and a Focusrite iTrack Solo with iPhone Voice Memo recorder.

Started this one with The Mile Highwaymen, but never got around to making an album. Was intended to be the title track for our debut album "Way High"

Wanted to make a simple porch jam song about leaving town after a drug-induced fight with a significant other.

Oh man...hahaha! I remember where I was when I wrote this song. I was pulling out of the parking lot at Little Anitas and some asshole in a truck was up my ass, mean-mugging me and revving his engine. I recorded the demo right when I got home. I'd never even played a scale before, so the solo is just noise. Too fun not to share.
