True story: I wrote the original version of this song as a Fasttracker MOD file back in the early 1990s.  It was fun recreating it in a proper DAW about two decades later.

Level Up

Another Music Weeklies submission.  This one is for the "Random Samples" theme where we were given a collection of random public domain samples to turn into music.  (This song has lyrics but I couldn't record them because that wouldn't be one of the samples.)  It's channeling a bit of the 80s kid in me.

The mix is not great but I'm out of time.  The drums are way too "scooped" at the moment... but it is what it is.

Turnabout(Feel For You)

This Music Weeklies #ChainedTogether challenge entry is a team-up with @trommelfell-mb.  I started the ball rolling with a jazzy piece that he had to take unmodified and continue.  Turned out pretty well, in the end.

For my own part, I was using it as an excuse to work on jazz piano voicings as I've been spending most of the last few years on guitar and the piano skills have suffered.  It was important to me to play the piano parts without cut-pasting... so it took me probably 100 tries.  I think my family was worried I'd had a stroke or something.
