Let's dance disco angels! Lighting up your Tuesday with an incredible set by Budakid & Matthias Meyer. We thoroughly enjoyed having this dynamic duo finish the night super strong and making our 2022 year end in such a dreamy way. They joined our Babylonian Nightsky Celebration in Amsterdam and played this stunning set at the Star Stage. The night closed out with lots of dancing underneath the glow of the planets with disco mirror performers hypnotizing us. What a night to remember!

Eight years ago I discovered Robot Heart and their sets opened many musical horizons for me. 

They had a profound impact on my journey as an artist and playing for Robot Heart became one of my biggest dreams. 

I am blessed to see it all come full circle. Last summer, my dream came true. Surrounded by many close friends, family and camp buddies, I had the honor of closing Tuesday morning.  What a feeling it was to stand in the deep playa on top of this legendary bus, sharing music I worked hard to create, seeing each one of you dancing in the blistering sun…. 

I am grateful for this important milestone in my musical path and for witnessing how much I have grown over the past years. 

Big thank you to the Robot Heart crew for making this all happen.

What an incredible night! I was invited back to play a set for one of my favourite Burning Man crews, the Salty Jacks, at their annual fundraiser on June 3, 2023. For those of you counting, yes, it was my three-peat! The Jacks found us an incredible space in Chinatown, where we all got dressed up in our disco best and had a wild night of dancing and good vibes! I joined a lineup of fantastic DJs, including friends and frequent collaborators Von Davis and Jess + Nate Mordo, as well as GAL and SumDim! And to top it all off, this night kicked off my birthday week. 44 never felt so good! 

Here's my set from Salty54! Dedicated to the amazing Salty Jacks fam and all their love, support, enthusiasm, and dancefloor energy! My whole life I have felt like I don’t quite fit in. Looking different to the people around me, talking and even thinking differently, I’ve often felt like I’m the odd one out. It stopped bothering me when I was a teenager, and then I maybe secretly didn't mind not being the same as everyone else... however a few years ago I realised that one of the places at which I felt at home was a dance floor. 

I say all sorts of things - music sets me free, that it has saved my sanity and my life more than once. I say music is healing and transformative and that it’s the great unifier and equaliser. On the dance floor, we are all the same.

When I started mixing and then playing gigs, I found, to my surprise and delight, that I had accidentally stumbled upon the one place I truly belong. 

I was at risk of overthinking this mix into a stiff collection of tracks, but I caught myself and allowed myself to relax into the process. These are a few of my favourites, past and present. I love a few genres but the mood for 333 sessions - ‘afro-melodic’.  I like music that makes me feel something and I love bassy chunky afro house blended with beautiful melodic house and techno.

3hrs 33mins (and 33 seconds)  was a good amount of time, I can mix for days so it was nice to have a bit more time than normal to play with. I hope you enjoy the flow of this mix, I really enjoyed putting it together for you. The last few seconds of this mix - that's my music... it's called Acceptance and I made it myself.
