This song was adapted by Aaron Tearetoa Mutua in 2008 for Forest View High School's polynesian cultural group - Polinetia Fa'atasi. 
The song is written about Cook Islanders not born in the Cook Islands and their affiance to the homeland - though they are born elsewhere, their flesh, their bones, their blood, is Cook Islands Maori.
The song was recorded for Te Eiva Nui Intermediate girls champion 2016 - Orica Paora of Tokoroa.

This song is written and originally sung by Cook Islands artisit Ephraim Taokia. 
Sung by Aaron Tearetoa Mutua for competitor Sarah Mitchell in the 2007 Te Eiva Nui dance competition in Tokoroa. 
The song is about the love and grace of our Heavenly Father and the ultimate gift he gave the world, that of his one and only son, Jesus Christ.

Me aere

I wrote this song 'Tamaine Aitutaki au' for Orica Paora for the 2016 Te Eiva Nui International Cook Islands dance competition held in Tokoroa. 

It is a song about a girl showing a friend around her island of Aitutaki in the Cook Islands. She travels through the even villages of the island and acknowledges the four Arikis, Vaeruarangi Ariki Tamatoa Ariki, Teurukura Ariki and Manarangi Ariki. 

The Pe'e is performed by my cousin Kotiau Joseph who is a taunga of our chants in Tokoroa. The music is by the talented trio of Isamaela Heather, Bob Tiaki and Alex Maara.

Tamaine Aitutaki Au

I wrote this song in 2011 for the University of Waikato Cook Islands Students Association as their Kapa Rima for the bi-annual Taokotai'anga competition held at Auckland University. They won that year with Kapa Rima. 

The song is about the importance of our Cook Islands language. We must learn it, no excuses because if we don't, it will be lost. The encouragement is that we speak it, learn it, sing it so it can be passed on to the generations to come. 

Music by Bob Tiaki and Isamaela Heather. Performed by my niece Taua Precious Tapita George-Natua in the 2016 Te Eiva Nui International dance competition in Tokoroa where she placed 1st.

Kia Vai Ruperupe

The chorus of this song was written in 2007 for my cousin Leila Monga. At the time she was tutoring Tokoroa Intermediate's Polynesian group. I completed the song in 2016 for my neice Chloe Tupou Fairoa Herman and based it upon the journey of her grandparents, and all of the men and women who migrated to Tokoroa in the 50's for work. The journey was not easy for them, adjusting to the cold climate and missing their families back home. It is because of their sacrifice that we have what we have today in Tokoroa. I love his song and I am thankful for them.

This song was written in 2006 for Teupoko Natua who competed in the Hula Mania Cook Islands dance competition in Hamilton representing Tokoroa. At that time, Teupoko was studying at Whitireia in Porirua. 

The song is for any Tokoroan who although may live way from Tokoroa, it still is and always will be home.

My name is Aaron and I am a Mathematics Teacher and Dean at Forest View High School, Tokoroa - New Zealand. 

I love music and especially music of my ancestral homeland The Cook Islands in the South Pacific. I have been composing my own Cook Islands songs for 15 years and have a tendency to bring a modern RnB/Soul feel to my music. I like writing for people, sharing their stories through my music. 

I started singing in our church St. Lukes Pacific Islands Presbyterian Church in Tokoroa. Our Sunday School teachers played a huge role in inspiring me to love music and regularly encouraged us to write our own songs for church services and performances. 

I have a real appreciation for classical music, having studied at The Eastern Institute of Technology in Hastinss towards a Diploma in Performing Arts in Voice. This time was one of the greatest moments of my performing life.  There I learnt to discipline my craft in singing having trained with great Jaxx singer Viva Sahn, Wales based Baritone singer Phillip Rhodes and many great friends under the guidance of Louise Clark, Anne' Reisar, Carmel Carroll, the Late Iosefa Enari and Dame Melvina Major. 

My Cook Islands band - Timberland Soulz has taken me to numerous Pacific destinations promoting not only our music, but Cook Islands Music. 

My music has been brought to life through the talents, time and creativity of musicians such as Uncle Bob Tiaki, Aunty Monz Tiaki, Isamaela Heather, Noo.V Pare, Jerome Pare, Kutia Tuteru, Henry and Manuel Tupou and many more.  I thank them sincerely and know my music would not be out there if it wasn't for them.
