Jazzy little chord progression that builds from some simple arpeggios into bringing the place down.

Like It's Stuck

Came up with the little chord progression on piano and then built it up from there. Kinda proud of this one even if it is a groove with a guitar solo over the top. I liked my little bass guitar/kick drum rhythm and it's not all that often I play piano on a track. Also, first real time letting the new DG20s in my Strat rip on a recording. What the hell are people who say these pups have no soul talking about? They have so much soul it's ridiculous!

I posted the original version of this about a year ago while waiting for S4 of Game of Thrones to come out. Just heard Mastodon's epic White Walker and it seemed like a much better version of the same approach I took in writing a GoT song. Dusted this one off and added some electric guitar and cleaned up the drums a bit.

Bought the Slash bundle in AmpliTube iPad and this rhythm guitar part just popper out as soon as I started playing with it. The final track here doesn't use it, though.

Taking my new Les Paul out for its first recording with me. All the parts were recorded on it. The electronics need changed, but the pickups aren't all that bad.

Stretching It Out

Redid this one to embrace its Floydiness. Ran the lead through some compression and chorus and into a Hiwatt to get a little more Gilmour-like tone and added a synth line.

Installed a phase inverter circuit on my Les Paul. Now I can get that classic out of phase sound in the middle position. Decided some surf rock was in order to show it off :)
