Eyes reveal truth.  Careful yet deliberate, eye contact penetrates the soul, being calming, seductive and threatening.  Through our eyes, we perceive the world and others around us.  From our eyes, others know what is written on our hearts without a word spoken.

This song marks a new beginning for me.  Something has been ignited ... and this spark will continue to burn embers in the fallen leaves of autumn, bringing new life and fertile ground from what has since passed and withered away.

Songs I've written and worked on over the years i like, but don't fit into any real category or aren't refined into a final idea yet.  Their names are often something to simply give them character, to make them easier to remember until a final project name or idea can be conceived.

Reminiscence

The opening to this song is the oldest tune I have on here right now, trumped by 1 other song I've written.  A theme running through my songs is coming back to an old idea years afterward; here I revisited a simple 2 chord rising progression and transformed it into a worthwhile effective composition that builds and goes places.

This is an other unfinished work.  Most curiously, I wrote it on the guitar, but on arranging the song in Sonar the samples sounded better recorded in piano.  Another experiment with trying out my new violin sounds, this song has certainly claimed a mood thus far.  I am excited to develop it a little more and form a whole song.

I wrote this song after a surprising incident on magic mushrooms where I thought there was a ghost in my apartment.  Turned out, this was only a denied, rejected, and disowned aspect of myself that was arising to the surface for me to become aware of and integrate.

This summarizes my journey of blooming my faith in love and following divine guidance through the study of A Course In Miracles and exploring consciousness with psychedelics.  In this altered state, I was again able to remember and hear this long forgotten song of love that is sung by all of existence.

The Long Forgotten Song

This dance is forever. In every moment, and in every encounter, we all hear the voice for love calling us home. Helpless to its tide, I welcome every caressing wave gently whispering to me my truth. Grateful for how it cuts me so deeply, as though tangled in thorny vines, should I dare to resist its knowing wisdom.

Through my practice of harmonizing my consciousness with the psychedelic 1P-LSD, I began to consistently perceive a harmonic tree within my 3rd eye with an increasing clarity.  This song is my closest approximation of encapsulating the understanding and wisdom I’ve gained from these experiences, and how we all relate to this harmonic tree of God’s love.

The Atonement is the Holy Spirit's plan of correction for the tiny mad idea within the mind of God that any aspect of His Creation could ever be separate from Him.  The principle is that the separation never occurred. 

Thus, all of creation eternally dances within this unified, multidimensional, vibratory fractal of reality.  This fractal is exactly an extension (or projection) of oneness via the laws of cause and effect, or guilt and blame, that consciousness applies through the lens of perception formed by the ego’s thoughts, feelings, desires, and beliefs.  This fractal I call the tree of harmony.  

It is as though this song and lyrics are used eternally for the creation, continuation, and completion of every component within this dream of reality.

Sing The Atonement

Perceive the joyful paths unfolding before you in every moment, and dare to stride forward to where your heart is calling you next.  There is nothing else but this.

Technical recording notes:

This song is the result of my successful efforts towards getting my music recording equipment set up properly and working again in my current living situation.  Despite its age, Cakewalk Sonar X1 Producer is still a powerful piece of software, albeit also surprisingly finicky to get it properly handling VST's and recording audio on my equally old HP Pavilion dv7 laptop.

The Audio from the guitar was recorded using an Apogee MiC-96k.

The Joyful Paths Ahead

I am a self taught musician, who enjoys composing and playing guitar and piano music, with accompaniment.  I would describe my style as new age/progressive, with some video game, celtic, world, and rock influences.

I compose music on the piano and guitar, and arrange my songs with Cakewalk software.  The majority of songs here on Soundcloud are written with Homestudio 2, before I upgraded to Sonar X1 Producer.  I love acoustic sounds, and want to emulate real instruments with most of my music.
