Part of the all-female collective RA+RE, Parisian artist Melody proves that it is not a case of girl power but that women artists are just as capable as the lads when it comes to unearthing gems and smashing them out. The RA+RE crew in force is a sight to behold but a sole set from Melody will blow up any party.

Bringing a 90’s tinged edge to her performances and her booking schedule has blown up because of it. Shifting between dream house to more upfront breaks and bass heavy house jams Melody has such a keen ear for uplifting tracks. We couldn’t wait to have her do her thing for us and we are delighted to welcome her to our InSession podcast series.

Opening phase 3 of the RCU, the Reptilian Mix 07 introduces rising star @tau-car, already quite famous in the Neuköllnywood underground art-house scene. She is now stepping under the World Wide Web projector lights for reptilian connoisseurs' uppermost enjoyment. 

Indeed, Car has experienced her share of life-changing party experiences, to a point she had to answer the call of Jane Gain™ and started to ride those transitions as if her life was depending on it. Relentlessly practicing, she started deep diving into minimal / tech-house, funky club-house, and electroclash to create her distinctive sound showcased in this mix. Her ability to select and play records is only equaled by her love towards Renéchou, her dogtilian son, adding a new member to the reptilian bestiary.

She is the closest crew member imaginable and we are more than proud to feature her first mix in the series.

Es ist schwierig zur Tagesordnung überzugehen, bei all dem Wahnsinn und schrecklichen Ereignissen, die sich momentan in der Welt abspielen. Ein wenig Trost, Freude und Ablenkung finden wir dann doch, mit einem wunderschönen Mix von DJ Balaton. Gisela! Ein klassischer Shot der Wohl in keiner Bar und Club fehlen darf, was man über DJ Balaton übrigens auch sagen könnte. Lange haben wir uns auf diesen Mix gefreut. DJ Tree’s humble beginnings as a “digger” began in the soulful section of Hip Hop, inspired from the music first heard on cassette tapes recoded live from the very famous AOL parties being held in Naples. His desire and fierce curiosity for music as a whole led him to shift his focus to the Balearic island of Ibiza, where here his palette expander further into the realms of Techno and House music at places such as DC10, with the island’s special energy, he was able to completely devote himself to this lifestyle and seriously explore the reality of making this his life. It is now in Berlin where DJ Tree has firmly set a base for himself and his musical agenda. He is a founding member of the collective group know as Slow Life, consisting of fellow artists Laurine, Cecilio and Sergio Moreira.

First, send all kinds of support to artists whenever it’s possible. Second, keep on listening their music as much as can. And as the nightlife is basically dead, podcasts are one of the only ways to connect with the community and treat ourselves with good music. 

So here is Drama Source Artifacts' [@felixwillik] contribution to the curfew, and the many 6 people home parties to come. Very strong showing from a sick DJ from Stuttgart favorite aaae [@aestheticasanethos] . The dreamy introduction quickly shifts into a muscular ride, 50 minutes across ravy beats, old and new techno. This is the kind of mix that instantly gives the nostalgia of a crowded and sweaty warehouse - and when you're stuck at home, that is the good kind of nostalgia.
