Excited to be releasing this banger of a SoundCast out to the world. Proudly presenting xXETEXx queen, AKA NINA, who knows all about the sonic lines and patterns of deep psychedelic techno. Whilst representing one of the OG festival crews in xXETEXx, AKA NINA has also been killing the production game, with recent releases on labels such as Digital Structures, Occultech and Soupherb to name a few. 

You can catch her laying down fat chunks around Europe, in Berlin at clubs such as Sisyphos, and hopefully one day we can see her strut her stuff around our festivals in Aus.

Minimal Things Vol.12

A different time slot for me, but nonetheless the Esoteric's main stage, Sun Temple was packed from front to back with pure vibes during this set. I needless to say had an absolute joy putting it together and sharing the collective energy we all created. 

This journey stays progressive for longer than my sets typically do, but still lifts off into melodic full on, before ending with prog - this is because I was positioned between two prog sets. Nonetheless, it's still the typical energy you'd expect from me.

Hello, anyone there?

A question I've been asking not only you but also myself lately. My last release was years ago, and the question of how that came about is complex and not so easy to answer. First of all, I try to fulfill my role as a father, and I am firmly convinced that being a father is currently my only job. But this has also led me to end up in a 9-to-5 situation that, while providing me with financial security, really slows me down as an artist.

Nevertheless, I wasn't lazy during that time, I tried out a lot of things, gathered new ideas, and also completed quite a few projects. And I think it's time to pick up where I left off.

My sound will definitely be a little different, probably a little more experimental, more detached and more present. So let's start with something that everyone can enjoy: a nice edit as a free download. The original has been with me for a while now, and the synth line really blew my mind. As long as I'm not quite mentally ready for fall yet, let's treat ourselves to a few last digital and warm rays of sunshine with my interpretation of the whole thing today.

Biomass is the psychedelic techno project of Melbourne based producer Finn Rhodes. The deep, brooding themes that define his progressive trance project, Ambler, are here explored in a slower, more spacious style. Biomass inhabits the grey areas between psychedelic and progressive, gruelling and groovy, daytime and nighttime. This mix showcases his debut EP, Grey Areas, along with a cohort of more recent and unreleased tunes including collaborations with Axon and Techgnosis label boss Ben Rama. Enjoy.

Aaron king (Alpaka Muzik)

Aaron king is 28 year old Dj/Producer from the central coast of NSW, Australia. 
Growing up with parents who were heavily into electronic music and his dad being a DJ for over a decade, it was inevitable that he would follow in his father’s footsteps. 
beginning Dj’ing in 2016, he has played at some of the best and most renowned underground events that NSW has to offer, those being in nightclubs, secret rave locations around Sydney, in the NSW bush and also played his first international gigs in NZ and a headline tour in India.
With a wide selection of music, Aaron is not bound to a specific genre. Playing anything from house, techno, DnB and psytrance but with a more direct focus on dark minimal techno and psytech.

Starting the journey into production in 2017 Aaron has experimented with a vast array of genres but  pinpointed his focus on dark minimal techno/Psytech, with heavy influences from artists such as, Rupt, Peter Groskreutz, unknown concept and other heavyweights in the scene.

Releasing on labels such as. Alpaka Muzik, Techgnosis records, Zenon, Vision Serpent, Subios, Subtrail, Music4Aliens, Joker black and Soliq records. He has also recently been added as An official artist for Alpaka Muzik.
