Black Coffee

Alone is an intimate etheric acoustic track that was born out of the global pandemic and lockdown of 2020. It sounds like Bob Dylan meets Jack Johnson and touches on contemporary themes. 

Alone’s soft acoustic guitar work and subtle percussion create an environment for its wanderlust lyrics to step front and center. 

It’s made for listening to while on pandemic quarantine, societal lockdown, and forced social distancing. 

About:

I know what it’s like to feel alone, even when your not. I know that forced social distancing and isolating quarantine policies due to the covid pandemic would amplify those feelings of aloneness for millions. 

I wanted to write a song that sent those suffering aloneness a message of compassion, understanding, and love. “That’s why I sing my song, to let you know you’re not alone.”

I was leaning towards writing an acoustic-oriented track that was simple and eloquent and had been messing around with a few different motifs. Then the chorus melody was born and the song developed a more defined direction. 

By the third verse, I’m speaking directly to the listener to evoke multi-layered introspective reflections of identity and the face we show, not only to the exterior world, but also to ourselves in the inner world.

Alone

Love’s On The Way speaks to the heart of humanity with a reminder of love and hope in the face of species wide uncertainty and shifting paradigms. 

It’s features Trevor Hall-esque percussion under a mystical melody, spiritually charged lyrics, and powerful instrumental sections. 

This song is great for moments of personal introspect and sharing with friends who could use its encoded message of hope. 

About:

I wanted to write something that was musically simple yet powerful, something that gives a sense of reverence to being human in today’s changing world. 

I wanted to write a message to people feeling the fear of uncertainty and change and remind them that this is all a part of a larger shift for humanity and that we will make it through these dark times with unity.

Dance of Destruction is an upbeat anthem that sounds like Chili Peppers meets John Mayer. It’s made for playing loud and dancing proud whether alone at home, in the car, or at a party. 

The lyrics are philosophically charged observations that flip humanity’s social paradigm on its head. It has an infectious dance beat and rhythmically driven bass line, and when the chorus hits the listener begins the Dance of Destruction. 

About:

Dance to the Destruction is a song that sounds upbeat and happy while its contrasting lyrics subtly describe the state of the world.

As society is engineered to self-implode to the benefit of evil globalist elites, tribalism, and ignorance, humans are set against each other in a spiraling dance of destruction. 

I hadn’t written many “dance” friendly tracks and I thought I’d give it a try by just messing around one day on the loop station. What came out was an expression that serves as a collective reflection on the state of humanity in 2020.
