"This track came out very easy and naturally. The first thing i thought was to make the remix completely different from original song and make it more bassy and simple. I basically just used the vocal track and resampled the lead synth to make it move with the groove i wanted during the break, and of course, tr909 samples are a must!"

The Head Game EP marks Joluca's second appearance on Perfect Driver following their label debut "Like A Virgin" on Swerve Volume 3. Comprised of 4 tracks, two originals and two remixes, the release features vocals by Grammy-nominated songwriter Hookman and internet sensation Mz 007.

"Head Game", which gets its name courtesy of Hookman's catchy vocal line, was born out of a late-night studio session that took place earlier this year while Dave and Adam (AKA Joluca) were briefly reunited after the latter moved to LA last September. "Act Right" showcases both Mz 007's brazen vocal style and Joluca's knack for clever basslines that combine for a club-ready cut full of equal parts sass and sub. Both tracks have been thoroughly club-tested by label head Matthew Anthony who has been dropping them in his sets over the last few months.

For a fresh take on Act Right, we tapped fellow Canadians Smalltown DJs who turned the clubby original into a festival floor-filler. On Head Game, Moody Recordings' Ben A turned things down a notch, spreading out Hookman's vocals to overtop a deep and dark warehouse beat.

Joluca is the combined efforts of Adam Johan and David Luca, a Canadian producer and DJ duo brought together by their love for peak-time rollers and studio jammin'. Since joining forces in late 2016, they've managed to cultivate a unique and dynamic studio partnership that has landed them tracks on Desert Hearts, LAMP, Sooo WET, and Night Vision.

Effectively conveying one’s feelings to music is a sought after goal of the
most seasoned producers. Accomplished by some and mastered by a
gifted few, we should all take a moment to welcome, Aaron Snapes.

A product of London, in his early years, Aaron browsed the club
scene sampling from a variety of genres. In search of the right
groove, he bounced from Old School Hip-Hop, to Drum & Bass,
from Trance, to Garage, until one night, feeling clarity, he
experienced a resonance with House music. Through the years,
nurturing this interest became a passion for Snapes and he soon
found himself at the helm of his own productions, creatively painting
a musical canvas while developing his loosely defined Tech House
sound. Clinging to the perimeter of this genre, 2012 found Aaron in
Leeds, UK, where his music garnered attention from personal
inspirations like Dirty Bird front man, Claude Von Stroke and House
legend Derrick Carter.

When asked about his talents and unique sound, the lighthearted
producer shrugs with a smile, “I just want to make fun, groovy music
for people to dance to.” Not taking things too serious seems to work good for Snapes as he continues to refresh listeners with his imaginative music
