Forged in the pitch black recesses of underground Berlin, long-time conspirators Sawlin & Subjected have been making bold, distinct and largely faceless techno from the cloisters of their Vault Series home. Now comes the first in a two-part EP for Electric Deluxe, titled ‘Foreign Awake’, a much broodier spacy homage than we’ve yet heard from the pair.

Shying away from usual PR and biographies, Sawlin, Subjected and their third Vault Series member Mørbeck have been making names for themselves on the weight of their music alone. Raw, industrial hues, distortion and chest-caving basslines are some of the tropes that have coloured their anonymous ascension to date. While Sawlin has strayed a little from the Vault camp, Subjected has yet to release elsewhere. Until now. In April Subjected released his debut LP, ‘Zero’, which channeled his and the label’s respected tough and concept-free aesthetic into a fully functioning full length. But for Electric Deluxe they’ve served up something all together different.

Swapping their usual gung-ho floor artillery for swirling atmospheric vistas, subtle tones and cavernous empty spaces, ‘Foreign Awake pt.1’ sees Sawlin & Subjected paint chilling, post-apocalypse landscapes in three parts. Deep, dark and dangerously hypnotic, this is Sawlin & Subjected at their most compelling.

"made of CONCRETE" henchman Toni Dextor steps down from his usual DJ act to take on a producer role for his first release on the label, joined by the long-serving Marco Bruno and techno legend S-File on remix service.

"Definition" showcases Dextor’s propensity towards winding, glitch- infused techno, in a construction that brings together functional, Russian bits of vocal with deep, spacious rhythms.

A known figure of contemporary techno, DJ and producer S-File channels a stripped back, hollowed down approach on his remix of "Definition", in a rework that’s filled with gyrating soundwaves on a gritty tech backdrop.

"Upstairs" is the heavy-hitter of the release. A no-frills techno powertune, it commands attention from the first bar and keeps spirits high until the last beat. This one is a quintessential dancefloor tool, sure to get every body in sight moving. 

Last one to the table is Marco Bruno’s reshape, taking the anthem into new territories with undulating sequences and added looming synths.

Her first release outside of her own Bpitch Control imprint in well over 10 years, German techno stalwart Ellen Allien's abrasive techno slammer 'Take A Stand' on Nonplus Records is a nebulous yet poignant political call to action for the wider dance music community. 

Following the release of the single back in September of this year, Bpitch Berlin has tapped four of dance music's finest producers to deliver a remix package of this robust rave tune. First up on the four-track 'Take A Stand' Remix EP is the young Berghain resident, Kobosil. Feeding off rough and dark dancefloor energy, Kobosil's brutal rework of the track takes Ellen Allien's shouted slogan and turns it into "a disembodied curse that haunts this lysergic peak time banger."

Monnom Black will mark its 17th release with its first various artist compilation presented on triple vinyl. Keeping with the label’s modus operandi, the compilation is packed with iconic, raw and uncompromising techno, featuring 13 artists new and old to the imprint, including a re-release of a classic Drax aka Thomas P. Heckmann track from 1993.

To coincide with the launch of the compilation, Monnom Black will hold its first highly-anticipated label party. Locking arms with the notorious underground Dutch promoters Reaktor, known for their challenging events and pushing the boundaries of what techno has to offer. Together they will celebrate with an electronic onslaught on New Year’s Eve in Amsterdam’s Elementstraat Warehouse. A location cut to the bone that perfectly encapsulates the label and promoters combined vision and ethos.

Dax J curates the night fusing the label together for a special moment in time, with the titan warehouse opening up two of its rooms hosting a monster line up with the likes of CJ Bolland, Regis as CUB, Thomas P. Heckmann, I Hate Models, UVB, Stranger, Zanias, Cressida, Inhalt Der Nacht, Raffaele Attanasio, Tommy Holohan and Remco Beekwilder.

We are proud to announce the newest addition to the label, Kwartz. An artist that has developed over the years to become a strong name within our scene.

Leading into the EP with “Contortion”, a track which comes natural to Mario’s sound. The driving rhythms expertly keeps the motivation building throughout.
“Reload" follows you down a darker path. The deep subtle broken kicks layer on top of eerie pads and perfectly executed hats.
Onto the title track “Show me that light”, featuring a rare appearance of vocals for Mario. The soothing voice combined with an arpeggiated synth send you into a state of hypnosis.
The B2 sees a remix from the Clergy label boss, Cleric. Doing what he does best with the original mix, the solid structure takes the track on a more driving approach. In addition to this remix Cleric also offers a vocal tool to complete the release.

PVS joins forces with fellow Rome based artist Lunatik to launch a new imprint that goes by the name Methodical Systems.

The first release here is a back to back, split vinyl and digital release, containing a track each of high class techno weaponry.

PVS is known for his H.omevvork record label, whilst also appearing on the likes of M_REC LTD, Children of Tomorrow, Attic Music, and Gynoid Audio. He’s also responsible for an outstanding track that has stood the test of time since 2013 called “Fuckin’ Society” that many will know already, with its timeless melancholic groove that is full of emotion and honesty.

For this DT:Premiere we selected the PVS track “Objective Methods” that is punchy with a tribal influence from the off. Its pacey BPM and added pads soften the manic drum rhythm, but take nothing away from its energy. This is a peak time powerhouse track with an old school flair that will drive the dance floor into a frenzy.
