This is Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. I first heard this in a programme organised by Blues Notes School of Music. My friend sang it very well, so much that I felt goosebumps appearing on my skin. Shayad yahi behtar hai, is a personal one and talks about parting ways from a loved one, moving on, accepting things and finding peace in the way they are.

It's a single take acoustic studio recording where I've just performed it on the guitar, just like how I'd perform it live, without any vocal tuning and unnecessary processing.
Wanted to keep it raw and unfiltered, wanted to communicate the emotion as authentically as possible.

“Quieter than Silence” began with a friendship, beyond stereotypes and political conflicts between an Iranian and a Syrian, in Bucharest.
Quieter than Silence music is a synergy between: ney, setar, oud, kamancheh, Iranian percussion, vocal and double bass.
Even though this music is rooted in Syrian, Persian and Sufi music cultures, applying various rhythmical and timbrel elements throughout the process, made it a unique artistic repertoire and hard to give to it a particular geographical identity.
