The Sixth track from my new album 'Memory Trails' ✨

This tune started from a little flute loop I recorded, it had a hint of South American flavour, then I added some jungle atmosphere (recorded in Vietnam) followed by a heavy bass groove reminding a stomper groove like in some Tribone and Whitebear tracks but with a lighter Mantis vibe. Maybe its my subconscious telling me to expand my travels. Central and South America is a part of the world I haven’t been to yet and im really looking forward to travel there sometime soon.

From the organic warmth of "Echofluid" and saturated echoes of "Behind the Thunder," to the deep DnB grooves of "BeatJunx" and "Reflekt," the album pushes the boundaries of psychedelic bass music while remaining deeply connected to its roots.

Synergy is my home dance. I love playing music for this community. We have developed a lovely rapport. For this iteration we take a deeper more emotional journey than when we last gathered at the height of summer. Now we are feeling the early October rains and the rising of the dark season. This night the moon was waning and i felt the long shadow. The music reflects all of this.

The theme of this dance was Liminal Forest. In my meditations i imagined us entering on to a meandering wooded path at dusk. It takes a moment for the eyes to adjust but once you settle in you realize there is much we are able to see in the dark.

Aazav emerges from the fusion of Kai Altair and Haj i Ji's passion for music that animates both body and soul. Drawing from ancestral vocal traditions and deep woods sensibilities, their sound is a convergence of medicine melodies and global organica—a call to the central fire of remembered futures. Their 2019 debut album, "The Looking Stone," garnered support with stellar remixes from collaborators like David Starfire, Govinda, Kaminanda, Drumspyder, and Living Light.


In 2022, Aazav unveiled "Temple of The Heart," an ode to love's mysteries and journeys through etheric realms. This sonic prayer anticipates the dancefloors of tomorrow. Haj recently showcased his DJ prowess at Kalani in Hawaii and a successful East Coast tour, including a memorable stop with Ecstatic Dance NYC.


Looking ahead, Aazav reveals a new dimension to their project—a tag team DJ set. Currently crafting a dancefloor-focused EP with gifted collaborators, they're also hosting SANCTUM, an intentional temple space gathering at Soft Medicine in Sebastopol, California.
