'Crystal Geometry is the latest project from underground electronic music veteran, Maxime Fabre. Inspired by Post-Punk, Black Metal and Industrial, the French producer and live artist has returned to his roots, a crossover between the warehouse rave scene of the 90’s and industrial music, mixing EBM influences with hardcore Techno.
Centered around an ever-growing modular system, the project is based upon live improvisation with dedicated hardware, relentless hard beats and haunting soundscapes. Recognition of the project’s output has continued to penetrate the underground circuit, with a growing catalogue of high-impact productions, released across a number of labels; SARIN’s, X-IMG, Parisian imprint RND. Records, Spain’s Darkwave synth driven, Oraculo Records, Marseille-based Caisson Gauche and a debut album on Berlin-based Noise and Industrial label, AREA Z.'

For our 60th Podcast we have a special guest coming straight from France. ANGEL KAREL is an emerging artist from the French Techno scene, Angel Karel has built her reputation with high-technical DJ sets : her dark and industrial universe is regularly bringing dancers into an hypnotic trance, that’s why Angel Karel is frequently booked to close parties, with her EBM, industrial and rhythmic Noise techno music.
As well as producing and mixing, she has also created her own collective: TFIF [The Future Is Female], a techno collective from Lyon which values tolerance and freedom of the underground universe, together they put on techno queer parties called [NO GENDER].
She recently released her first EP on Instruments Of Discipline with remixes by H880 & Istigkeit. We are happy to guest her in our podcast series.

Madrid’s @rolldann has a mind of his own. Since taking up production in the late noughties, the vivid style of his work has become increasingly unique. With his signature dark polyrhythmic sequences, he caught the eye of Slam who quickly signed him to their SOMA imprint.

In September, Roll Dann appeared on our label’s inaugural release alongside Gareth Wild, supplying a stripped back, darkside remix of Gareth’s ‘Live Wire’.

For our next DETECT, he brought that same energy for an exclusive mix.

Nacido en Granada en 1982, @c-system comenzó su andadura en el mundo de la música electrónica alrededor del año 2000. Durante sus primeros años ya destacó por una técnica depurada y sobre todo por una selección musical fuera de la tónica general de la época. Poco a poco se fue haciendo un hueco en el panorama granadino, y tras años de trabajo, C-System se ha consagrado como uno de los mejores DJ's y productores del sur de España, paseando la maleta por la geografía mundial y actuando en multitud de festivales y salas.

Pero si hay una faceta que haya marcado a este apasionado andaluz, ha sido la de productor. En sus creaciones se aprecia una línea oscura y melódica acompañada siempre de la contundencia y dinamismo que lo caracterizan, y que se ven reflejados tanto en sus sets a los platos como en sus directos. Con más de cuatro pseudónimos, decenas de colaboraciones, y cientos de producciones en el mercado, es difícil encasillar a este polifacético creador musical. Sus creaciones suenan cada semana de mano de los DJ's más importantes de la escena electrónica.

En los últimos años caben destacar sus numerosas actuaciones por España: Stardust (Madrid), Tarragona, Navarra, Vitoria, Barcelona (IDM Live), Prisma (Sevilla), Industrial Copera junto al místico SNTS (Granada), y sin olvidar su mágico cierre en el festival Circus Nation (Granada). También cuenta con dos giras en Sudamérica (Colombia) y actuaciones en Suecia.

Born in Granada in 1982, @c-system began his career in the world of electronic music around the year 2000. During his first years he already stood out for a refined technique and for a musical selection outside the general trend of the time.He rapidly made himself a spot in the Granada scene, and after years of work, C-System has established himself as one of the best DJ's and producers in southern Spain, walking his suitcase all around the world and performing in a multitude of festivals and venues.

But if there is one facet that has marked this passionate Andalusian, it has been that of a producer. In his creations a dark and melodic line can be appreciated, always accompanied by the forcefulness and dynamism that characterize him, and which are reflected both in his sets and in his live performances. With more than four pseudonyms, dozens of collaborations, and hundreds of productions on the market, it is difficult to sort out this versatile musical creator. His creations sound every week from the most important DJ's of the electronic music scene.

Over the last years, he outstanding performances in Spain should be highlighted: Stardust (Madrid), Tarragona, Navarra, Vitoria, Barcelona (IDM Live), Prisma (Seville), Industrial Copera along the mystical SNTS (Granada), and without forgetting its magical closure at the Circus Nation festival (Granada). He also counts with two tours in South America (Colombia) and performances in Sweden.

Beside all his productions on prestigious labels, he owns MFM Records and Morforecs along his good friend and artist Horacio Cruz.

Sarf is one of those artists who stay true to their own values regardless to the trends. Since his first steps in electronics, he has shaped progressively his own approach to djing and producing. In 2015, time has come for the Spanish artist to open his own lab Analog section, a name that purposely emphasizes his dedication to the physical aspect of electronics. In addition to his own outputs, his imprint has hosted so far the most cutting edge and well established producers around such as Alexey Volkov, Joton, Pulse one, Takaaki Itoh and his partner in crime Kalter Ende.

Whether through his own material or his sets, Sarf transmits a complex vision of Techno: dark, mental and percussive yet with subtle industrial elements. His dj skills got quickly noticed in Spain as his sound has already hit clubs like Fabrik or Family. No doubt about seeing him massively impacting the scene in the near future.
