Next Episode of Abaddon Podcast with Max Durante

Max Durante began his professional dj career in 1987 in Rome. As one of the hinges of the 90's rave generation, his sound and his presence have been fundamental for the early Italian Techno scene. He has been a regular on the best Italian Raves and played at the best European clubs and festivals of it’s time since 1991. Well respected as a DJ, thanks to his great mixing abilities, as well as a producer for his precious creativity in his recording productions.

Sonic Groove label boss Adam X named him a true legend and innovator of ‘Industrial Techno’ in the early 90’s.

In the Last 20 years Max has toured Europe non-stop and co-produced electro bombs with artists like Anthony Rother , Keith Tucker and Aux 88 to name a few.

Over the years he has built and developed his own personal show, showing off his true character and charisma together with his superb technical mixing skills, creating sounds ranging between hypnotic, dark, industrial, acid, electro and techno in it’s purest form.

After his long and worthy contribution to the electro and techno scene, he returned to experiment with a sound back to the roots, which gained a strong interest, and is therefore now part of the legendary Sonic Groove family.

His latest EP called ‘Metastability’ on Sonic Groove was released in May 2015 with the track ‘Kreuzberg’ being one of Berlin best techno club hits of 2015.

In November 2015 he has released his latetest Ep on the newborn Kynant Records with a collaboration with Donato Dozzy. This EP was named ‘out of stock’ at record shops after just a couple of days!

His first EP called "Metastability" on Sonic Groove was released in May 2015, and the track "Kreuzberg" extracted from the ep being one of Berlin ‘best techno club hits of 2015’.

In November 2015 he has released an Ep on the newborn Kynant Records with a remix of Donato Dozzy. This EP was named ‘out of stock’ at record shops after just a couple of days!

His EP called ‘Insurrection of Inequity’ on Sonic Groove was released in june 2016 and with this Ep he has received many positive consents and many DJs have played the record: on podcasts and in clubs.

In February 2018 he released his first ambient techno LP "The Experiment" on Kynant Records.

In September 2018 he had released his third EP for Sonic Groove and in 2019 he will release two new 12" for Aufnahme + Wiedergabe.
At the moment he is very busy in the studio to finish several remixes. 
His several closing set at Tresor are receiving great success, the Rebel without a pause is burning the dancefloor!!!

"This podcast is mainly made up of dance-floor focused bangers that I'm liking at the moment - it's a pretty good representation of how I play at the club with a mixture of dark/hard more industrial tracks with some moments of fun and euphoria in between. It starts off pretty dark and industrial, and then calms down and provides some brighter sounds in the middle, returning to the dark sounds at the end. I feel like it also shows the linkages between the different eras of techno - there is tracks from the 90s, from the early- to mid- 2000s and from today in there.

I'm always trying to tell more of a 'story' when I DJ and try to show off a diverse mixture of sounds - and how they relate to one another. Sticking to one style has always been incredibly boring for me - I hate seeing one-dimensional DJ sets and I also hate playing DJ sets in just one style. I think this mix, like all my mixes, reflects that desire for eclecticism in DJing. Really the DJs I look to for inspiration are more those crazy people that could play anything at any time in a set - people like Optimo when it comes to house music, or someone like Parrish Smith with harder sounds".

Vittorio Di Mango is an Italian DJ/producer from the class of 97 who was born in Trani, a small city in the south of Italy. Vittorio's first approach to electronic music was in 2012 when he played in little clubs in his city and those nearby. In 2014 he became interested in Techno music by taking part as a resident DJ in a local organization called "White XXX", which later led him to exhibit with such important artists including Dax J, Phase Fatale and Samuel Kerridge. His musical sets are characterized by weaving of Techno with that of sounds such as acid, industrial and ebm. In September 2016 releases his first Ep ‘’Wrong definition’’ on Amok Tapes. In January 2017 came out his first remix ‘’Prepare to die’’ on NEN Records. On april 7 was inaugurated ‘’Epilessia’’ his first track on vinyl with I Hate Models on Khemia records. In 2018 he became part of WAYS and KEPLER CLUB as a resident Dj.
