Operation 4.0 is the latest project from Cat Hooper: former founder of Unmasked & a DJ who has been heavily involved in the UK scene for many years, performing under various aliases, thus giving space to explore a multitude of genres. 

Born into the rave era and first touching a pair of turntables at aged 15, her love for electronic music and the scene itself was heavily ingrained in her from the start. Currently working on her debut EP, along with djing she is also a radio host with a monthly show on AAJA music, holds a residency for Somnus London and works with techno record label Metempsychosis Records and music school Home of Sound.

Operation 4.0 is undefined by style, however heavily influenced by the late 80’s and 90’s: delving into the parameters between EBM, electro, acid and techno. Her selections diversify and are ever adapting as she goes from enticing and enigmatic to peak time performance that is built for the dance floor.

Wolfsheim are a synthpop duo from Hamburg, Germany consisting of Markus Reinhardt (music) and Peter Heppner (lyrics and vocals). The band was founded in 1987 by Markus Reinhardt and Pompejo Ricciardi and was named after Meyer Wolfsheim, a fictional character from F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel ‘The Great Gatsby’.  Ricciardi soon left the band and was replaced by Peter Heppner, a childhood friend of Reinhardt's. Together they produced their first demo tape, “Ken Manage”, in 1988.

After making a second demo tape, “Any But Pretty”, in 1989, Wolfsheim applied at various labels until they caught the attention of independent record label Strange Ways Records. They are best known for their debut breakthrough single, "The Sparrows and the Nightingales”, the first single to be released on Strange Ways in 1991. The band's musical style takes cues from the 1980s New Romantics, new wave, synthpop, and darkwave. The track's sombre synths were produced by Carlos Peron of Yello. Reinhardt says the lyric was inspired by ‘The Great Gatsby’, "in the 'onomatopoeic tension' between predator and security."  Over six minutes, the narrator describes being lost, unsure of where his life is heading, using highly metaphorical language. On the flip is a brand new remix by German producer Ancient Methods, a pseudonym of Michael ‘Trias’ Wollenhaupt, who provides a driving, EBM-leaning, amphetamine-laced club ready cut.

All songs have been remastered for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley. Designer Eloise Leigh has updated the record's original design with two sparrows
enclosed in a blood moon circle against a deep black purple backdrop. Each copy comes with a black and white photo postcard notes by Carlos Peron and the song's lyrics. This release comes in time to celebrate the single’s 25th anniversary.

D-Leria returns to the scene more than a year after debuting on Berlin-based label Delirio, releasing a collection of work produced between 2014 and 2018; ten tracks which mark a new beginning for this young Italian producer, sweeping between heavy ambient excursions to hypnotic/ tribal techno, modernized and polished off in his own way.
‘Driving to Nowhere’ is the summation of an extended journey; a year-long hiatus due to unforeseen health concerns allowed time to meditate and consider his past experiences in Italy’s various underground electronic music scenes, and the potential directions inspired by thriving Berlin. 
From 2014 to 2017 he released several EP’s, each developing upon this new style, until joining the young label Delirio as both a musician and a manager. 
With Delirio he has hosted artists such as Stanislav Tolkackev, Roberto Bosco, Plaster, Retina.it and more, with a unique agenda to record precisely produced music live, instead of laboring in the studio to achieve over-polished audio.
His first album inaugurates the beginning of the new DLP catalog, which will be dedicated to LPs, albums and other projects released on 12-inch vinyl.
Through these 10 tracks D-Leria experiments with various production methods, as in ‘Makumba’ where he precisely combines the kick drum with a tight bass line in a 12-step sequence, making the track fluid and never predictable. ‘Reborn’ is an even more ambitious undertaking, initially recorded on tape before being sent back to the mixer via Hi Fi stereo, D-Leria modulated the cassette coil with a bic pen to create a unique ‘detune’ effect. ‘From the Ground’ and ‘Driving to Nowhere’, both made through the same setup, combine tribal voices and moans, combining an ethereal ambience with drums and analog percussion, connecting the rhythm directly to the soul.
The opening track ‘Libero’ is dedicated to himself, while ‘Her Smile’ and ‘Uragano’ are both dedicated to the person that was closest to him in his last period of stop and realization of the album, where he expresses his most deep moments in the first, and more difficult in the second.
Just like in most of the EP already released on Delirio, Giuseppe Tillieci aka Neel took care of the mastering of the tracks, while the artist has taken care of the smallest details from the production, to the mixing, to the graphics and also to the titles of the tracks, which refer to personal thoughts and events that happened during this long journey to nowhere.

Faux Naif has a particular view on club music. Under her Faux Naïf alias she digs for records often outside of the electronic spectrum, often championing the lesser known sounds of EBM, Tropical Goth, Synth & Post Punk. Her broad tastes in these genres mostly stems from the 80s and typically dark in sound, she takes as much influence from British groups like The Cure, Coil and the Cocteau Twins as she does any electronic producer.

Faux Naif supports these sounds on her radio show on Threads Radio located at the London venue The Cause and also through her own parties M || M (mouthiimouth).
