The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new video from NCOUNTERS, a new collective from Berlin. With a track by /KU8I/, accompanied by dance choreography by Sascha Kimel, and audio-reactive videography by Baris Pekcagliyan, the piece stresses existential myths alongside a dark-rhythmic groove. 

NCOUNTERS is a Berlin based audio-visual collective focussing the concept of transnationalism. It stresses the diverse socio-political backgrounds of the artists and their narratives. For their first release, they present this powerful a/v work which perfectly exemplifies the group's mission, delivering a hypnotic dance piece with an infectious rhythmic track.

Khalifa Cyrus is a 21 year old producer from Brighton. Experimenting in the raw, stripped back side of Tech House, "KC" consumes a diet of house, disco and gangster rap, all of which he channels into his own productions.

Beginning his production career only a year ago, Khalifa Cyrus combines his gritty style with psychedelic, vaporwave graphics, resulting in an intense visual and sonic experience.

Get Physical’s Acid Love affair continues with a second volume of tracks dedicated to the sound of the 303 with Paco Osuna, Hoopalaï, The Fitness, Ali X, Pvlomo, DJ One Five and Lessnoise all contributing.

The legendary ‘Acid Track’ from Phuture is first up as remixed by Spanish techno titan Paco Osuna. He reworks it into a jacked up track with gurgling acid and freaky vocal sounds that will pump the floor. Montreal’s rising stars The Fitness have released on the likes of Crew Love and now link with the Hoopalaï duo for the haunting and absorbing ‘Let Me Take You’, which works into a frenzy thanks to serrated acid and prickly percussion that will blow up any set.

Another fresh collaborative duo in Ali X and Pvlom are next up with ‘Starstruck!’ which is a superb seven-minute odyssey. Deep, dubby drums set the tone as an elongated and dreamy acid line is gently teased out up top to mesmeric effect.

Lastly, DJ One is a Detroit talent from labels like Jack Trax who links with Lessnoise for the soulful ‘Sweet Pauline.’ It’s a deep house cut with sustained, heartfelt chords, great vocal work by Ms. B.B. and the most subtle and seductive of acid lines.

This EP is a truly contemporary and inventive take on acid that provides another glimpse of the next Acid Love album which drops later this year.

Jerome Hill AKA Jerome Hill seems like the kind of guy who doesn't like the complexity of an alias. I get it. What I don't get it is the title for this song. It's ambiguous. Is Jerome against Jazz? Is he merely pointing out the existence of those who are against Jazz? I could ask him, but then I might actually know. 

I don't really need to say anything about Jerome. If you're here, you already know. If you don't; I'm surprised. Nip in and meet him. I think you'll be back. I'm biased towards this set of course, but I think this is a good introduction ;)

To celebrate 500 episodes of Bleep Radio...

In 2003 I began streaming live via Livesets dot com. Over the years the number of annually archived shows has always fluctuated, but eventually it appears 500 has arrived. Sure the actual number of streams is probably triple that or more, but that's harder to celebrate.

This 4x12" Boxed Set represents the artists whose music I play the most on Bleep Radio. Literally and objectively played the most. I'm a big number crunching statistics nerd and have trended my own track-lists for years as many of you know. As a Canadian, far removed from where the music I like shines the brightest I consider myself very fortunate to have been able to meet with and play alongside a lot of these folks in person and not just via the stream.

Bleep Radio is expected to hit show 500 on May 14th which is when --if all things align-- this release will be ready. The 500th show will consist of a mix of all of the tracks on this release by myself, plus...guests?

This release is isn't just a milestone, it's an open love letter to all of you whose music I play and will continue to play and support. Keep it wonky folks.
