'Although I am a techno DJ, my second love is Drum and Bass. This set features classic DnB sounds. The mix includes tracks by Goldie, Roni Size, Jakes, Enei, Ed Rush'.

His taste didn't evolve, he didn't start with Depeche Mode or Tangerine Dream, he started with Techno from: Ruskin, Surgeon, Regis, Shed, Jeff Mills, Robert Hood, Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson. The year 2002 and an event with James Ruskin at the Energy Institute influenced his life quite a bit. Immediately after that event he sold a kidney and bought his first Turntables. Techno has been with him ever since and is the most important aspect of his life. He draws inspiration mainly from the Detroit scene. His sets are a mix of classic, danceable and rhythmic techno.

Observer Presents: Luciano Esse

Luciano Esse is a prominent figure in the Italian electronic music scene, with over twenty years of experience in clubs. He began DJing in the early '90s and moved to London in 2000, where he performed at some of the city’s top venues such as Fabric, The End, and The Egg. Upon returning to Italy, he became a resident at The Flame Music Department in Milan and took part in the renowned We Love Sundays parties at Space Ibiza in 2006 and 2007. Following gigs at clubs like Clorophilla, Cromie, and Guendalina, he spent nine years as a resident at Sound Department in Taranto. He has shared the decks with international artists such as Richie Hawtin, Villalobos, Jeff Mills, and Sven Väth. As a producer, he has released music on major labels like Life & Death, Tenax, and Trapez. His sets, which range from house to techno, reflect deep expertise and a genuine passion for electronic music.
