Dismissive is a pair of songs dealing with reparenting and the struggle to stay present in your body. My first release as Abandon City in over 5 years, I plan to keep this project more active.

Leaving Home

Processing the loss of a close relationship, this collection of songs focuses on honoring your own path through the world. People will come and go, and while we may do our best to keep people close, you cannot control how the people around you (and yourself) grow.

Almost exactly one year since 2023's "Dismissive", Abandon City returns with new EP "Clear". This collection finds Eric looking back to sounds and styles of his past through a matured lense. Dense and dissonant guitars contrast with soaring vocal melodies. Driving, distorted bass and chaotic drums provide an uneasy and intense pulse throughout.

"Mirrors" sees a vague hope in shedding these relationships and trying to escape that past.

An ongoing project by Eric Leavell. Abandon City represents my most personal expressions through music. A place where I channel my nostalgia for dark emotions and loneliness.
