Last week we invited the lads from the All Tribes Crew to the studio in Berlin for a little mixing session, in preparation for the next edition of A Bass Odyssey at Mensch Meier on January 13th, where they will be providing the sound all night long on the "Theatre" floor!

We were joined by the talented lyricist Longfingah, as well as "hornsman extraordinaire" Vale, and inevitably our host Jimi Handtrix provided some live dubbing effects. The result turned out quite nicely: a 111 minute mix, recorded straight from vinyl in one take - encompassing a multitude of styles true to the All Tribes name.

Catch the full crew on Saturday, January 13th, 2018 at Mensch Meier in Berlin, for another unforgettable journey into the furthest reaches of bass music! Other artists playing on the night are Dubkasm, Gorgon Sound, Ishan Sound & Ossia from the Peng Sound label (also from Bristol), plus local heroes Jimi Handtrix & Ras Lion! And of course, we will be joined by some extra special guests from the forward-thinking 45Seven label: Flatliners/King Fifi (Istanbul), Dub Across Borders (live, Copenhagen), Phuture T (Amsterdam), Beam Up (live, Australia), as well as LXC, Lowcut & Toni Wobble out of Leipzig! Sound will be provided by the Lion's Den & BUNS sound systems, with live visuals by Flimmerkiste.

This session is sure to be another one for the record books, so don't miss out!

Recorded with one deck and plenty hardware effects, in dubwise style and fashion,

Leading up to our final session of the year, A Bass Odyssey's Jimi Handtrix put together an hour-long mix featuring productions from our back catalogue, as well as some forthcoming releases and a dub or two! With support by Saralene & Baptiste on the mic, and hornsman extraordinaire Vale on the trumpet, plus some analog delays, reverb and siren, our final Mooncast of 2019 is a proper sound system tribute to 10 Years of Moonshine Recordings!

On Saturday, December 7th, the Moonshine family will be heading to Berlin for a heavyweight sound system event at Mensch Meier. Featuring the likes of Radikal Guru, Bukkha, Numa Crew, D-Operation Drop, Mack, Jimi Handtrix, Saralène, Baptiste, Vale, plus sonic reinforcement by Pandadread Sound System and live mapping by Visual DNB, this winter edition of A Bass Odyssey is sure to bring some heat to the northern latitudes!
