These recordings are live from the Colorado State University Combo 1 in the fall of 2014. This recording features Matt Carroll (drums), Eli Cagen (tenor sax), Kate Vincent (alto sax and bass clarinet), Ian Schmid (trumpet), Drew Miller (bass), and Alex Basaraba (piano). "Shortchanged" was arranged by Eli Cagen, "Silence Takes the Mind" was written by Matt Carroll and is featured in a suite format with "Black Sands" which was arranged by Alex Basaraba. "Mass Transit" was written by Kate Vincent.
