Whilst volunteer cleaning in Lismore post the apocalyptic 'rain-bomb' event of the century, Abbie Cardwell penned this song. Within a day it was produced by Grammy-winning producer Nick Didia (Bruce Springsteen). 
'Who Gonna Change?' has been written to help Lismore feel seen and to help raise their spirits. It prompts us all to face the truth of a failing system, the facts about our climate and ask the really important questions; Who Gonna Pay? Who Gonna Change?

After roaming the globe blending her musical influences from Mexico to the USA and back to the open roads of Australia Guiding Star was born. The hypnotic melody began as Abbie strummed on the sands of Tulum, Mexico during a time in her life when she felt extremely lost. Having sold her possessions, left her home-town of Melbourne and two established bands she embarked on a 3.5 month trip of Mexico to find some answers. New places, experiences and musical explorations called her forward and the message of this song became a comforting lullaby during the times of intense uncertainty. 
Little did she know she had to get lost in order to be found.

Upon returning to Australia Abbie's long-held dream to work in the studio with renowned American producer Nick DiDia came true and the new single was immortalised into this stunning recording. Nick DiDia's final touches and added instrumentation enhanced it’s magical quality whilst nailing Abbie’s desired Americana- Tijuana vibe!
