Jenny Ortiz (CINEP) is a researcher on issues related to the impacts of extractive work in the Colombian Caribbean, as well as issues related to territorial transformations and historic memories in the context of ethnic communities. For the past 9 years she has been documenting the serious human rights violations caused in La Guajira as a result of the mining and energy sector.
