Originally dropping back in 1999 on C4C Recordings, “Phatcap” has long been a staple of the neuro-heavy DnB scene. Now, TRCD injects the timeless drum loops and iconic bassline with a modern twist, honoring the original's spirit while giving it a fresh energy.

TRCD begins by resurrecting the rolling, punchy kick/snare combo that defined the original. From there, he refines the groove with crisp, meticulously layered hi-hats and sub-divided ghost snares. The result is a relentless, dancefloor-ready rhythm that jolts the track into 2025 territory.

That unmistakable sub-bass from the original remains intact—but TRCD enhances it with more punch and depth. Subsonic rumble underpins the rework, and occasional mid-range growls slide in, adding weight to the restructuring’s low-end.
