Before the gates of hell's fourth layer stands a massive desk of black ironwood, intricately inlaid with avaricious motifs and adorned with a sophisticated seal that once marked the completion of a long-forgotten contract between the great and powerful devils that rule this realm. Atop this desk sits a singular tome, bound in the leathered flesh of contract breakers aplenty. Indeed, between the boundless pages of this terrible tome are listed the names of all those whose actions have or shall destin them to arrive here, recorded forever in an evergrowing CHRONICLE of mortal greed.

Behind this desk sits always the skeletal visage of one of the realm’s septuple gatekeepers, here bedecked in a three-piece suit that would be well fitting were it not for the being’s lack of soft tissue. Before him come the damned, oft sure that their swindling ways might grant them one final respite from condemnation to flame. Commonly, they plead their case before the gatekeeper, and in response, it is assured that from within the depths of his great ironwood desk he shall pull forth the precedents of divine law that will shackle them to their doom. As the poor souls at the gate are ferried away to their torments upon the wings of lesser devils, the gatekeeper reclines in his chair with contentment. Reaching once more within his desk, he withdraws a much smaller tome, detailing the victories of his latest case closed. Each and every one of its entries begins with the very same line -

“Dear diary, today was a damn good day.”

AGRESSOR BUNX return to EATBRAIN with their CHRONICLE EP, the latest release from one of the label’s most dynamic duos.Within, the inimitable pair of producers unleash four tracks imbued with a sonic fury set to send the EATBRAIN horde into a hellish frenzy as they dance to enrapturing rhythms within.

In the most literal sense of the phrase, all hell had broken loose upon the city. From a red-hot rift within the earth had crawled frightful and freakish creatures ferried directly from the nightmares of the city’s citizens. Indeed, such was the quality of this sudden summoning that this menagerie of malevolent spirits possessed only a haphazard collective identity, each instead bearing a beguiling countenance conferred onto them by the personal fears of their individual inspirations. Amidst their ranks stood classical horrors, skeletons, and shadows that showed the face of death and despair. Yet also were there boogeymen and boggles and other dwellers-under-the bed, embodying imaginative and fickle forms found in the minds of the children that feared them so. 

Vastly varied too were the actions taken by this fearsome horde, each so uniquely motivated by the personal horror that they did represent. So it was that some skeletons simply lay lifeless upon the asphalt whilst others crawled into the city’s closets. Some simply screamed at the woe-begotten passersby, threatening them not but simply seeking the momentary pleasure of a single spook & scare. For more than a few of these creatures, their existence exalted a forbidden vice, a lurking fear of desires long since locked away. Thus it was that a gangly gargoyle could be found amidst the chaos slyly sipping on an ICE COLD cocktail, indulging in the fears that lurked in the minds of those who had long since left such libations behind.

STATE OF MIND unleashes the full freakish fury of the EATBRAIN horde as he visits his latest single, ICE COLD, upon the ears of the label’s ravenous faithful. Inside, STATE OF MIND presents a suite of oddly tantalizing tones across the single’s twin tracks, combining cool confidence and capricious sound design in a dizzyingly effective concoction for EATBRAIN’s latest release.

Flittering up from beneath the facades of ruined buildings cast in the filtered light of fading day came frolicking a faction of miniature miscreants, hellbent on nothing more or less than calamitous chaos of a kind most ultimately benign. This part of the city, only recently fallen from its former splendor into a relative state of forgotten disrepair, had become their favored haunt and a canvas upon which they painted their mural of mischief. Indeed, though sometimes disturbed by their devious pranks, those humans who still lived within the dilapidated dwellings of the neighborhood looked upon these minute beings with a sense of familiar nostalgia, reminiscent as they were of the deeds of their own childhoods upon the very same city streets.

Thus, there was something of an enchantment to the gremlin’s general goblinry. The high-pitched shrieks of sheer thrill that resulted from the success of their misdeeds, the skitter and scrape of their bicycles, skateboards, and all other manner of experimental wheeled vehicles, and the freshly odorous fumes of the spraypaint that newly adorned many of the neighborhood’s walls. In this place so forgotten by their human brethren, these RASCALS had brought a revitalizing presence to the ruined alleys in which they ran, their ruckus reinvigorating the empty, crumbling streets.

MNDSCP rallies the RASCALS of the EATBRAIN horde with his latest EP, gleefully titled under that name to unify the rowdy and cacophonous sounds within. Across the four-track span of RASCALS, boisterous basslines rebound amidst an atmosphere of silly sonics that brings a rejuvenating levity to the monstrous menagerie of the EATBRAIN horde.

Much time had passed since the uprising of the demon kings had sprung forth from the ancient obelisk, bringing ruin to the great city that had been built around it. Yet more had passed since humanity had lost their homeworld to these malevolent creatures, who poured out from the monument with no other desire than to torture, pillage, and destroy. For years, all-out war had raged on the Earth’s surface and yet for all of humanity’s most valiant efforts, the killing of one demon had begotten only the rising of two more. In their final hour, those scant few who survived had fled to the stars, abandoning the wreckage of their beloved home. It was there that they maintained an uneasy existence above it, one tied to the sanctuary of a handful of meager orbital stations scattered amidst their solar system.

It was from these stations that they now watched in horror as a great celestial body rapidly entered their domain, its surface scarred by gargantuan visages of suffering and despair that protruded from its surface. As it neared the abandoned remains of their homeworld, the gravity well of the hellish sphere sucked its shattered pieces almost instantaneously inward as though feeding the horrific faces that marred its ochre hide. Though sound permeated not through the vacuum of space, the minds of all those who watched were split by a psychic scream of pleasure that emanated forth from the planet as though it were a living being. Then, as though sated by the life it had consumed, it began to drift back beyond the bounds of their solar system, completing the cycle of DIVERGENCE once more.
