My second song has been published for the Italian Creative Language Workshop Green Line series, an English language study for Italian students, with an emphasis on environmental concerns.

In this new story, “The Gulf,”  high-schooler Jordan travels to Louisiana to help rehabilitate marine animals affected by a devastating oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. He encounters new cultures, including members of the local Houma Native American tribe, and a female kindred spirit with whom he writes a song to express the wonder of his own revitalization. 

I was commissioned to compose this song, which I named “Back to Life.”   I hope you enjoy it!
