Tonada a la Maestra

Tengo un don para llegar tarde, en cualquier circunstancia. Prefiero llamarle un don y vivir tranquilo con esos momentos, con este momento. Ayer cumplió 94 años mi abuela Mercedes, la madre de mi madre, con la que viví en mi infancia y me tiraba de las patillas a hacer las tareas. Hace ya algún tiempo grabé esta música, "Lo que queda de memoria", con ella en mente. Está inspirada en una de esas tantas veces que llegué tarde a alguna reunión familiar: todos habían comido ya, haciendo la sobremesa y, como es costumbre, planificar que se va a comer más tarde. En la cabecera, mi abuela miraba como si fuese una fantasía. Para ella, que padece de Alzheimer, lo era. Me siento a su lado, me sirvo mi plato y mi copa de vino, la saludo cordialmente, sin saber si me reconocerá o no. Me pregunta: "cómo estás Chascón?". Esa frase bastó para saber que me reconoce, a su manera, aunque no sepa mi nombre, qué hago en su casa ni quienes son esas personas que balbucean a su alrededor. 

Este es mi regalo para Mercedes, la Meche. El audio es totalmente artesanal, jugando a grabar con la guitarra romántica de la Francesca Ancarola, en los recreos de su Taller de Canto. Eso significa que la grabé hace mucho y ha estado allí, juntando polvo. No la había querido subir porque las calidades y todas esas vainas, pero a la mierda con eso. Prefiero compartir mi sentir en estos sonidos crudos, maquillados con un poco de reverb y EQ que le acabo de colocar. Ya vendrá tiempo para la pulcritud, como llegar a tiempo y esas cosas.

The album was recorded in Kathmandu, Nepal, featuring OG outtallect reggae ambassador Cultivation, and the Kathmandu supergroup, The Himalions, made up from some of the local jazz scene's best musicians:

[OUTTA032] Cultivation & The Himalions - Identity

This is an old track which i have made two or three years back and this track was influenced by the The Pineapple Thief. 
I couldn't release this track because of a hard drive crash, I also thought i could re track this whole song if i get a vocalist to lend some vocals on it but no body came up for it, but any way this track is close to my heart  i couldn't mix or master this track because i lost the session file . I would really love to know what you guys think about it .
