Tossing and turning in the bed at 3 am,
When life feels like a cage.
Someone gets up, 
looks out the window,
Steps out to the balcony, 
breathes out into the cold
To watch the city lights flicker.
While reliving moments of yesterday
 that blends in with the present, 
Like an unwelcomed rain with eyes wide open; 
The continuity of fear, that erodes & eats away at the heart.
Subduing every attempt at rescue to ever start.
To believe in hope, to believe in kind.
There are voices that whisper...whisper:
'Afraid of losing, afraid of loving, afraid of being alone, afraid of my mind'
Piecing yourself back together each time.
Slowly but, gradually unraveling from the abyss.
The dawn burns away the tears but, never forgets to reminisce
