Proverbial gutter is one of the two original tracks on my forthcoming EP. It focuses upon some of the difficulties, revolving around being a musician.

We decided to put our slant onto this track (Music: Duke Ellington, lyrics: Bob Russell). By cranking up the tempo and adding a little well know something to it :P

This track came about whilst Sean and I were trying to get a few demos down, before I moved back to England from Madrid last December. Once we'd recorded our chosen originals, this track came to life; due to Sean messing around with some pretty chords. It was a lovely end to a fab day of jamming and recording!

This track means a lot to me, as it was the first jazz standard I performed, when I was 13. 

This was recorded during our theatre gig at The Artrix, Bromsgrove.

This song has hit a chord with me, ever since I heard it years ago. I can relate to the message emotionally brought across through the lyrics. This was paired beautifully with the wonderful guitar accompaniment.
