I composed this Christmas Song to celebrate the wonderful tradition in Ireland of lighting a candle in the window on Christmas eve to guide the weary traveller home. A place where we are known and loved.

The piece features field recordings of my daughter playing with her friends and words from Mick Kingston who is an arborist. The piece is a reflection on Climate Change and the importance of water conservation.

Space To Breath

A unique Music and Sound journey that invites listeners to explore the natural beauty of Lucan House through sound and music. A new Commission by Abigail Smith for Ruaille Buaille 2025.

Having worked with several local schools in Lucan, throughout the month of May, Abigail has incorporated sounds created by the students into the work to create this new Music Commission. The students were asked to share their thoughts about the new public space Lucan House. The piece celebrates the natural beauty of Lucan House and the excitement of the students who will explore this new parkland.

It was premiered at The Ruaille Buaille Children's Music Festival in Lucan House at The Listening Post. Each listener was provided with headphones for a fully immersive listening experience.
