- Make a song in response to the weekly assigned poem (a new poem is published every Wednesday)
- When choosing a title for your piece also include the assignment number, for example “Title of your track (naviarhaiku110)”
To submit your track:
- If you’re a Soundcloud user, upload it on Soundcloud and send me the URL via private message, or tag me in the track.
- If you upload your music on Youtube, Bandcamp or anywhere else, upload your submission and then send me the link by email at marco@naviarrecords.com or contact me on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram

Hōsai graduated from the Tokyo Imperial University, where he studied law. He got off to a good start but decided to give up his home, family, and business to jump from one militant religion of Japan to the other.

Just like Taneda Santoka, Hōsai abandoned the traditional verse form of his time and mostly looked at the austere confines of his life for inspiration.

Created on iPad with AUM using Buttersynth, Aparillo, Rozeta XY, Noises, Twin 3, SpaceFields, Kajita, UA lo-fi-af, Eos 2.
Mixed in Cubase 12, mastered with Ozone 10.

This track was inspired by the Disquiet Junto Project 0608 (see below for details);
A field recording made on an IC train in the Netherlands (and already used for the track https://soundcloud.com/rabmusiclab/aankomst-amsterdam-zuid) was fed into the free transcription tool https://editor.flixier.com/transcribe/. The resulting Spanish text was translated into English. The free text-to-speech tool https://ttsfree.com/ was then used to create the voice pronouncing this text.

The field recording and the voice are accompanied by various instruments improvised to the existing soundscape.

The track-title is one of the translated sentences the AI has thought to recognize from the sounds of the train's interior.

The lyrics created by this magical approach are:
