improvisation on a hot june day

my submission for the kvr music cafe contest for october, on the theme of meditation and tranquility. i took this in a vintage direction by using vintage vinyl record noise simulation provided by audiothing's vinyl strip plugin. i added some epicverb and satin tape glue for more vintage goodness.

a lament for the children suffering from war and violence

this is an experiment in zero-input feedback manipulation. no sound sources were used, just fx plugins.

the main "post-rock guitar" drone is u-he zebra2, with extra saturation and distortion by soundtoys decapitator

the atmospheric noises come from various field recording samples, and a radio background noise sample looped throughout from freesound: https://www.freesound.org/people/martinimeniscus/sounds/199414/

some granular resynthesis and copious amounts of reverb complete this soundscape
