Three Spheres, Kodomo’s 4th full length album emerges out of the isolation of 2020, hitting an emotional space more potent than his previous work. 

Collaborators include Clarinetist and Saxophonist Chet Doxas, Puremagnetik software/sound designer Micah Frank, and guitarist Philipp Eltz.  

Working primarily out of his studio in Portland Maine, Child worked out his initial ideas on his piano while making heavy use of his modular system to create the drones, textures and nuanced beats which are dominant throughout the album.  The washed out shoe gazed synths, frenetic IDM beats, electro bass, and the production details are tinted with a fragility conveying themes of isolation, struggle, and perseverance.

In a spirited return to their musical roots, Redtenbacher’s Funkestra joined forces with Horn House—a virtuosic horn section led by trombonist Nichol Thomson—to release the jazz‑funk single “Old Blood.” The collaboration marks a powerful reunion: Thom­son and bandleader Stefan Redtenbacher initially met as students at Berklee College of Music in the mid‑1990s. After both establishing careers in London, they reunited some 25 years later for this track—a fitting “full‑circle” musical journey reflected in the title.
