This guest mix for Operator Radio showcases some of my current favourites, deeply inspired by progressive soundscapes and intricate rhythms that groove their way into the mind, body, and soul. I aimed to explore the deeper spectrum of my collection, striking a balance between heavy bass bangers and hypnotic grooves.

ABMA // Operator Radio guest mix // 9 December 2024

I had the opportunity to play a guest mix for Open Source Radio, which was a lot of fun! Although I was a little short on preparation time, I went to Nijmegen with full confidence and enthusiasm. While I’m pretty happy with the set overall, I’m definitely not satisfied with all parts of it. I’m eager to step up my game with vinyl, but that didn’t go too well in the end. I guess I need to experience the difference between mixing at home and playing live... Ultimately, I was able to have the "f*ck it" mindset, since I knew I had to play those records, practice, and make mistakes if I wanted to improve.

As I continue fine-tuning and exploring my sound for different purposes, I found a lot of inspiration during last ADE at the 'Cafe' during the Breakfast Club Triathlon. You can hear some of those influences in this set.
