Welcome back to a new instalment to the SPEED Mix series. We’ve been quiet for a few weeks but are coming back with a bang with this incredible mix by the increasingly talented Naarm DJ and Producer Sam Alfred. 

Moving up from Lutruwita to Naarm, Sam Alfred has swiftly carved a space for himself in the local scene. He’s one of Naarm’s  newest and most exciting DJs, known for mixing jazz-tipped house with deep cuts & UK garage. With a signature house and techno sound that is reminiscent of the 90s, Sam has made a name for himself all across the scene. Sam has released  music on labels such as Love Above Records, Phenomena Records, Spinning Around and Happy Wax records. 

It’s hard not to fight the urge as your body takes over, moving and dancing uncontrollably when Sam takes the stage and dishes out the finest cuts and rare selections that are sure to get your heart racing.

Momentum Mix #016 - Ft. Jerb

Here's the recording of my set from Rave In The Woods at Electric Picnic this year. After three days of camping in the miserable rain & wind, playing loads of high-energy trance, ravey bangers & party-time classics seemed like the best way to lift the spirits in the Forrest. Some pagan bits in here (released & unreleased) plus a few all time favourites + go to weapons. As always, drop your ID requests in the comments and I'll sort them out.

Mistr Dean, aka Mistr Clean delivers for 188 Radio. Featuring an extensive list of unreleased tunes, this mix remains true to the sounds we have become accustomed to from Mistr Dean - a harder, quicker side of techno and trance. Something you’d likely find in an abandoned warehouse in Berlin. Probably any warehouse in Berlin, actually. Dean’s claim to fame was his debut EP released on Abode label which included 50 Nic Vlad, a track that received the highest of honours as track of the month on Club Elevate, and if you ask us, should take out Club Elevate’s track of the year (if there is one). This is proof Mistr Dean’s production is of the highest calibre, and he is only just getting started.

Lucas Boston is DJ and Producer from Naarm/Australia who is known for presenting listeners with an uplifting and heavy-hitting audio experience. Lucas has played alongside some thriving local talents including X Club, Suki and SWIM at venues such as New Guernica, XE54 and Shelter. 

Along with this, Lucas is also a co-owner of CICADA located at New Guernica’s venue in Fitzroy where he is known to play some heaving ravey techno, breaks and prog. 

Stay tuned for his upcoming EP  which is sure to bring you to your knees and put you in a trance as the power within begins to take over your body.
