Sagmen co-founders Andre Salmon and Aert Prog team up for a solid single, featuring remixes from Matteo Rosolare & Jojo Angel, Mr Jefferson, as well as Aert himself. 

Individually, Ecuadorian Salmon has appeared on Leftroom, Repopulate Mars, Hottrax and Get Physical, while Parisian Aert Prog has had output on Anima Somnis, Laboratory Records and Popof’s Form. Launching Sagmen at the end of 2017, both producers have appeared on separate releases on the label so far, however the founders now come together for a collaborative release, blending both their sounds together. 

‘Sagmen’ opens the release with shuffling kicks and claps whilst alarming drones and bumpy rhythms creep throughout, before Daylight Robbery Records boss Matteo Rosolare teams up with Greece’s Jojo Angel version comes bouncing in, littered with crisp percussion and shaky hums. 

Twisted Fusion and Resonance Records producer Mr. Jefferson’s take on the track rolls in after, full of thunderous tones and clanking beats. These carve the way for Aert Prog’s remix, which strips everything back, twisting it into moody roller.

Following on from Acid Jump, which was released back on the label in 2014, Russian-born producer Eskuche returns to Hot Creations with a club-ready solo offering titled Activator.

Speaking of the EP Eskuche reveals that the inspiration came after the Paradise closing party last year. Wanting to make something that would fit the vibe of the DC10 terrace, Activator was born. Eskuche’s production style is apparent in his latest output. Title track Activator employs rolling drum pads and a low-slung beat. The bass rumbles on through B-side Pleasure Beat, displaying hints of acid, a prominent percussive section and an eerie, vocal hook.

Since his debut release in 2012, Eskuche has broken through the musical stratosphere. He’s had releases on Nervous Records, Materialism and Mr. Nice Guy and These releases have garnered support from some of the industry’s most prominent names including Marco Carola, Laurent Garnier and Maya Jane Coles. Last year saw his hit track Freaky Stuff played extensively on BBC Radio 1 and hit the top 5 spot in the Traxsource charts. The Ibiza-based DJ and producer looks set to end 2018 on a high with this release and a debut gig with the Paradise crew at The Brooklyn Mirage lined up.

Following a career as a highly respected drum & bass producer, Eli Brown has now become one of the most exciting acts in the House music scene. His productions have appeared on Toolroom, Sola, Repopulate Mars and VIVa, and have garnered support from A-List DJ’s; Annie Mac, Monki, Groove Armada and Solardo. With many years of experience under their belt, Paolo Martini & Gianni Bini boast a wealth of knowledge, talent and skill in the new EP. Lead track Eyecode is a heavenly slice of tech house, featuring warping synth breakdowns and a captivating vocal hook demonstrating immense production from the pair. Meanwhile, Paolo Martini takes the reins in intricate b side Freaxs weaving amongst cosmic chords and euphoric drum patterns marking an epic debut for both Paolo Martini & Gianni Bini on the Sola label.

As Bini & Martini, the duo have released notable originals including Soul Heaven and Disco Down whilst remixing the monumental Soul Providers – Rise on Azuli Records as well providing official remixes for the likes of Armand Van Helden, Diana Ross and Jamiroquai. As solo artists, Paolo Martini has released on Hot Creations, Repopulate Mars, Moon Harbour and more whilst Gianni Bini’s quality productions have caught the attention of industry innovators including Pete Tong, Sasha, John Digweed among others whilst touring all corners of the globe including South Africa, Mexico, Australia and Singapore.
