Above & Beyond and long-time collaborator Justine Suissa share their first joint effort in over four years, ‘Almost Home’. 

‘Almost Home’ is Above & Beyond’s first club track of 2021, arriving just in time for their Group Therapy 450 milestone show at The Drumsheds in London this September. ABGT450 is their first headline show in over a year, and will see the trio perform to an audience of more than 10,000 fans. Later in September, Above & Beyond embark on the Anjunafamily Reunion Tour, which visits major cities across the U.S.A. including sold-out stops at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Stanford’s Frost Amphitheater and the world-famous Echostage in D.C. 

Jono, Tony, Paavo and Justine have been working together since 2000 when they formed the group OceanLab. In 2008, they released their first and only album ‘Sirens Of The Sea’,a record that has gained near-mythical status among trance fans. More recently, Above & Beyond and Justine have collaborated on club hits like ‘Alright Now’, ‘Cold Feet’ and ‘Another Chance’, and emotive, downtempo records like ‘Little Something’. 

In 2016, Justine joined Above & Beyond during their sell-out ‘Acoustic II’ tour, which stopped at iconic venues including Royal Albert Hall in London and The Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. 

“This is a track that we originally wrote with Justine some years ago. Like many musicians during lockdown, we buried ourselves in the studio and had plenty of time to pick through old ideas. ‘Almost Home’, with its ’80s production influences, caught our ear. We sent it across to Justine again, and she rewrote the second verse to reflect her feelings on it today - we won’t tell you what it’s about though, we’ll leave that for you to decide. This track started in quite a different form, so we’ve also done a Club Mix to bring it a bit more up-to-date. The trio premiered their deep mix of ‘Almost Home’ in their warm up set for Group Therapy 450, recorded in Hackney Canal, London. Group Therapy 450 was Above & Beyond's first headline show in over a year, with the band performing to 10,000 fans in person, plus tens of thousands more online. Both sets have been uploaded to YouTube, racking up nearly a million views in less than a month.

Debuted in her Group Therapy 450 set, London’s Amy Wiles collaborates with Matt Fax and Mirror Machines on ‘Remind Me Why’.

Amy Wiles started her DJ career at 16, and has played for us at Group Therapy 450, Tomorrowland, Creamfields, The Warehouse Project and at Anjunabeats club nights across London. Her debut single ‘Biding Time’ was released in June 2021 as part of the Anjunabeats Rising series, and she’s remixed Above & Beyond, Kyau & Albert, Farius and gardenstate. You can catch Amy at our upcoming Night Tales showcase on March 18, and at The Gorge in July.

French producer David Ciekanski (aka Matt Fax) has been releasing music since the age of 15. In 2013, he provided a timeless remix of Jaytech’s ‘Labour Of Love’ and landed his first Guest Mix on Group Therapy. Since then, David has gone from strength to strength on labels such as Enhanced, Colorize, AVA Recordings and This Never Happened, releasing two artist albums and contributing to Colorize’s ‘Colorscapes’ mix compilation series.

Mirror Machines are U.S. production duo Jeremy Dawson and Chad Petree. They caught the attention of Lane 8 in 2021, releasing the ‘Pray For Rain EP’ on his This Never Happened imprint and featuring in several of his seasonal mixtapes. Jeremy and Chad were previously members of indie electronic outfit Shiny Toy Guns – their album ‘We Are Pilots’ received a GRAMMY Award nomination in 2007 for Best Electronic / Dance Album.

“I was working on some original material during lockdown. I posted an idea to my Instagram when Matt Fax dropped into my DM’s. I knew the idea wasn’t quite finished and that it was lacking something, so I asked if he would be down to collab on it and that’s how it became a collaboration.

At the same time, I had been recently chatting to Jeremy and Chad from Mirror Machines. It was slightly surreal when I received the top line from them, as my dad originally got me into Shiny Toy Guns when I was a kid. It’s also a great moment for me working with Matt Fax, having previously worked with him for years as Marketing Manager at Enhanced Music. Above & Beyond release their long-awaited collaboration with anamē, ‘Gratitude’ (feat. Marty Longstaff) on April 14 through Anjunabeats.

This collaboration marks the debut of anamē: a new alias from Swedish hitmaker Marcus Schössow and production partner Thomas Sagstad. 'Gratitude' also marks the return of Sunderland singer-songwriter Marty Longstaff to Anjunabeats, the voice of Above & Beyond's 'Tightrope' and 'Flying By Candlelight'.

Debuted during Above & Beyond's sold-out London festival at The Drumsheds in 2021, 'Gratitude' is both a jubilant vocal ballad and a tough, dancefloor filler. During Above & Beyond's winter tour, which sold nearly 70,000 tickets across the USA, the significance of this record to the group's dedicated fan community was immediately apparent. It has cemented itself as a future classic for Jono, Tony and Paavo, standing alongside some of their best-loved anthems like 'You Got To Go' and 'Thing Called Love'. 

Marcus Schössow's production resumé is extensive: he's collaborated with all three members of Swedish House Mafia, as well as Bassjackers, and has released on Revealed Records, Spinnin', SIZE, Armada and Axtone. 

More commonly found performing under the moniker The Lake Poets, Marty Longstaff rose to prominence with the moving acoustic ballad ‘Shipyards’. The song accompanies the opening credits to the sleeper hit Netflix documentary, ’Sunderland ’Till I Die’.

Scandivinavian production duo anamē present ‘Anywhere (Road Trippin’)’, the first single from their upcoming debut album on Anjunabeats.

Marcus Schössow and Thomas Sagstad have been planning, plotting and dreaming anamē for two decades. First coming together at a house party in Helsingborg, Sweden, the Swede and the Norwegian bonded over a love of artists (Sasha or early Tiesto), labels (Strictly Rhythm, Defected), ethics (“We both wanted to work hard for our dreams”) and ideas.

Described by the band as their take on ‘the electronic love song of the summer’, ‘Anywhere’ (Road Trippin’)' begins the journey towards their yet-to-be-named debut album, announced in a skit filmed in Anjuna HQ. Over the coming weeks and months, the band will be pulling back the curtain on how an album comes together, through their social media channels and on their ‘It’s a Beautiful World’ podcast series.

The track that closed out both of their sets supporting Above & Beyond at Printworks London in April, ‘Anywhere (Road Trippin’)’ drills into the importance of true, bone-deep connectivity: “You can take me anywhere, just as long as you’re with me.”
