Alongside this digital remix album, Anjunabeats is releasing a limited-edition ’10 Years of Group Therapy: The Singles Collection’ vinyl box set, which sees six iconic singles from the album released on vinyl for the first time: ‘Sun & Moon’ feat. Richard Bedford, ’Thing Called Love’ feat. Richard Bedford, ‘Love Is Not Enough’ feat. Zoë Johnston, ‘On My Way To Heaven’ feat. On 10 December, Anjunabeats label mainstay ilan Bluestone releases his energetic trance rework of ‘Sun & Moon’. Ilan’s remix first premiered during the trance trio’s headlining set at their sold out Group Therapy 450 show at Drumsheds, London this past September.

At the forefront of progressive and trance for almost a decade, London-based ilan Bluestone made his debut on Anjunabeats in 2012. Two musical threads weave through the collected works of Andrew Bayer. One thread gave us the downtempo masterclass of 2013’s ‘If It Were You We’d Never Leave’ and the brilliant 'In My Last Life' LP. Above & Beyond's latest dance anthem, 'Chains' (feat. Marty Longstaff), is out August 18 through Anjunabeats.

Premiered during the band's Group Therapy 450 celebration at The Drumsheds London last September, 'Chains' is Above & Beyond's second single of 2022 with singer Marty Longstaff, following the release of 'Gratitude'.

'Chains' has been a mainstay in Above & Beyond's sets this past year, played extensively during their 70,000 ticket-selling Anjunafamily Reunion Tour and at festivals across the US and Europe this summer. The band recently headlined their Group Therapy Weekender festival at The Gorge Amphitheatre, WA, which welcomed 22,000 revellers. 

'Chains' is one of two original Above & Beyond productions to appear on their Anjunabeats Volume 16 compilation, alongside 'Projection'. 

Also performing as The Lake Poets, Marty Longstaff rose to prominence with the moving acoustic ballad ‘Shipyards’. In a career spanning 40 years, William Orbit's influence is insurmountable. Producing some of pop music’s most seminal records - Madonna’s ‘Ray Of Light’ and ‘MDNA’, Blur’s ‘13’, Robbie Williams’ ‘Rudebox’, Finley Quaye’s ‘Dice’, Pink’s ‘Feel Good Time’ and All Saints’ ‘Testament’ to name a few - he has won three GRAMMY Awards and been nominated a further five times, with work on albums by U2, Britney Spears, Beth Orton, Queen and Michael Jackson.

Above & Beyond kick off the second half of their ’10 Years of Group Therapy’ celebrations with one of Anjunabeats' earliest signings, Maor Levi. 

‘With Your Hope’ is longtime collaborator Richard Bedford’s vocal accompaniment to the classic instrumental ‘Hope’ from Above & Beyond’s ’Tri-State’ album. It was released on a bonus track version of the ‘Group Therapy’ album in 2011, exclusively on Amazon Music. Now, the track sees its first worldwide release on all stores with Maor Levi’s remix, debuted during Above & Beyond’s headline set at last year’s Group Therapy 450 festival at The Drumsheds London. 

Maor has been a semi-regular contributor to Anjunabeats since 2006, and in that time he has helped to define the modern sound of the label. Above & Beyond close out the year with a long-awaited remix of ‘Chains’ from one of Anjunabeats' earliest signings, Maor Levi. 

'Chains' was Above & Beyond's second single of 2022 with singer Marty Longstaff, following the release of jubilant vocal ballad 'Gratitude'. Maor Levi’s remix first started appearing in Above & Beyond’s live sets last year, and has remained a staple in the band’s sets throughout the past year, including their sold out Group Therapy 500 celebrations at Banc of California Stadium, Los Angeles, as well as Tomorrowland and EDC Orlando.

Maor has been a semi-regular contributor to Anjunabeats since 2006, and in that time he has helped to define the modern sound of the label. Maor first signed to Anjunadeep at the age of 15 with 'Lital', before jumping across to Anjunabeats. He's since produced a continuous stream of club hits for the label including classics like ‘Reflect’, ‘Shapes’ and ‘Won’t Say No’.

Also performing as The Lake Poets, Marty Longstaff rose to prominence with the moving acoustic ballad ‘Shipyards’. The song accompanies the opening credits to the sleeper hit Netflix documentary, ’Sunderland ’Till I Die’. The Sunderland born singer-songwriter is also the voice of Above & Beyond's 'Tightrope', 'Flying By Candlelight’ and 'Gratitude'.

A fénix (português europeu) ou fênix, fênice (português brasileiro) (em grego clássico: ϕοῖνιξ) é um pássaro da mitologia grega que, quando morria, entrava em auto-combustão e, passado algum tempo, ressurgia das próprias cinzas. Outra característica da fénix é sua força, que lhe permite carregar cargas muito pesadas enquanto voa, havendo lendas nas quais chega a carregar elefantes. Finalmente, pode-se transformar numa ave de fogo.
Etimologia
A palavra latina vem do grego φοῖνιξ, phoinīx.[1] A palavra grega é atestada pela primeira vez no grego micênico po-ni-ke, que provavelmente significava 'grifo', embora pudesse significar 'palmeira'. Essa palavra é provavelmente um empréstimo de uma palavra semítica ocidental para o corante de garança, feito de Rubia tinctorum. A palavra "fenício" parece ter a mesma raiz, significando 'aqueles que trabalham com corantes vermelhos'. Assim, fênix pode significar 'o pássaro fenício' ou 'o pássaro vermelho-púrpura'. Características
Teria penas brilhantes, douradas, e vermelho-arroxeadas, e seria de tamanho igual ou maior do que uma águia. Segundo alguns escritores gregos, a fénix viveria exatamente quinhentos anos. Outros acreditavam que o seu ciclo de vida era de 97 200 anos. No final de cada ciclo de vida, a fénix imolava-se numa pira funerária. A longa vida da fénix e o seu dramático renascimento das próprias cinzas transformaram-na em símbolo da imortalidade e do renascimento espiritual.
Os gregos parecem ter-se baseado em Bennu, da mitologia egípcia, representado na forma de uma ave acinzentada semelhante à garça, hoje extinta, que outrora habitou o Egypto. Cumprido o ciclo de vida do Bennu, ele voaria a Heliópolis, pousaria sobre a pira do deus Rá, atearia fogo ao seu ninho e deixar-se-ia consumir pelas chamas, para no final renascer das cinzas.

UK drum & bass outfit Hybrid Minds remix Above & Beyond and Zoë Johnston’s ‘Love Is Not Enough’ from the acclaimed 2011 album, ‘Group Therapy’. 

Stars of the drum and bass scene, Hybrid Minds are Josh White and Matt Lowe.
