SØNIN and Oliver Smith kickstart the new year with their latest release, ‘Passion’. 

Oliver Smith has amassed over 20 million streams across his entire catalogue. As Anjunabeats' first signing and one of our label's oldest and dearest friends, he mixed the Anjunabeats Worldwide 08 compilation in 2018; featuring ten of his own tracks, it reached the #1 spot on the iTunes dance chart in the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and more. 

Oli’s last releases on Anjunabeats, ‘Make Me Feel’, ‘Snowfall’ and ‘Borderline’, won support from the likes of Armin van Buuren, Ben Malone and Gabriel & Dresden, with the former single earning a spot in the Anjunabeats Volume 16 compilation. Last year, he took our Group Therapy Weekenders at The Gorge, London and Australia by storm, and followed up a busy summer of touring with a dynamic set at Anjunabeats Los Angeles. 

Anton Sonin, aka SØNIN, has been featured on mint, NMF Dance, Trance Mission and Night Rider on Spotify, as well as danceXL and New Music Daily on Apple Music. Anton cut his teeth as a producer in a studio space in Helsinki, shared with compatriots Super8 & Tab, Yotto and Supermodels From Paris. His last release on Anjunabeats, ‘Waterfall’, climbed to #3 on the Beatport Trance chart.

Above & Beyond are reunited with Sunderland-born singer and songwriter Marty Longstaff for 'Flying By Candlelight’, the first in a new triptych of future club classics from the prolific trio.

Lifted from the upcoming ‘Common Ground Companion EP’ (which also includes ’There's Only You’ featuring Zoë Johnston and ‘Distorted Truth’ - set for release on the band’s Anjunabeats imprint in March), fans can watch the official lyric video for ‘Flying By Candlelight’ on Above & Beyond’s YouTube channel or stream both the Original Mix and Above & Beyond Club Mix on their favourite streaming platform.

Debuted at Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy 300 celebration in Hong Kong last September, A&B share this ode to the elevating power of love in several flavours: Original and Club, each a delicious serving of the songwriting chops that recently swept Above & Beyond to their second GRAMMY nomination for Common Ground album cut ‘Northern Soul’.

Says Tony McGuinness, "Flying By Candlelight is a love song about a saviour who rescues our protagonist from a dark, lonely place, taking him through a spectacular night sky. A bit like The Snowman by Raymond Briggs, but a bit longer lasting!”

Instantly recognisable, entirely unforgettable, ‘Flying By Candlelight’ is the second A&B vocal feature for Longstaff, who contributed the disarming vocal to Common Ground album cut ‘Tightrope’. More commonly found performing under the moniker The Lake Poets, Marty has risen to prominence in recent months with moving single ‘Shipyards’, penned for his home town of Sunderland, UK. The song accompanies the opening credits to the sleeper hit Netflix documentary, ’Sunderland ’Till I Die’.

Marking the 500th catalogue release on Anjunabeats, those who like their music in a tactile format will be able to get their hands on 1 of 500 limited vinyl pressings of the ‘Common Ground Companion’ EP, available for pre-order on the Anjuna Music Store at 5pm GMT on the 23rd of January. A staple at Anjunabeats since 2006, Hungarian producer Levente Márton (aka Sunny Lax) writes a new chapter with the release of a new EP: ‘End Of Our Time’.

Penned before world events took a turn for the worse, the five-track ‘End Of Our Time’ EP celebrates all aspects of the Sunny Lax sound in 2020. Opening with the tranquil ‘If I Knew It Was The Last Time’, Sunny then serves up a salvo of club monsters in ‘Close To Me’, ‘Angels With Filthy Souls’ and ‘Mother’. The journey concludes on the Porter Robinson-esque ’Stay’, featuring EL Waves.

‘Good For Me’ was first released on Above & Beyond’s debut album ‘Tri-State’, which celebrates its fifteenth anniversary in March 2021. Featuring the ethereal voice of long-time collaborator Zoë Johnston, it is one of Above & Beyond’s best-loved anthems. 

Whether he’s ARTY or ALPHA 9, Artem is one of Anjuna’s brightest stars. His ALPHA 9 project went from strength to strength in 2020: highlights include the ‘Stellar EP’, ‘Everywhere I Go’ and ‘All That I Can’.
