Memories rattle me. What to let go of and when to do it has always been a tough thing for me. I always feel like I am the last to let go.

Life doesn't seem to care for convenience. Everyone has a dream and sometimes people are faced with decisions that don't line up with what they thought they needed. "Could you live not being everything to anyone at all". You're only here for a little while. Of course we want it all but maybe happiness is not having everything. Maybe it's finding more in what was always right in front of you.

There are times when things just don't work. I think it's important to do everything you can to bring the positive of any given situation to the front. Otherwise, everything is just a ball of chaos blinding you from what really matters. Life is still good and this is what I wanted to write in an attempt to convey that it's ok.

I learned about guitar compression on this song. Lyrically it's about letting go of a fucked up situation. Man, my mind may have caused so much shit. I wonder if I could have kept it together but does it really matter after the fact? You learn and you keep living making sure not to dwell on things you can't change now.
