Just when you think “SEX FOR MONEY” must start to lose steam at some point, track thirteen neutralizes any doubts and pulls you in once again. The Frozen Turtle remix of “consume my flesh” is a big gift to the album—a future bass rework that refuses to play by the genre’s usual lighthearted rules.

Instead of the sparkly optimism that defined that 2015-era trap-banger sound, Reed drags it a bit into the shadows, giving it weight, grime, and a sense of purpose. It’s drenched in nostalgia but not trapped in it—timeless in the way only a producer who really understands the assignment can make it.

It hits hard enough to satisfy the most stubborn bass heads but still feels psychedelic and fluid, the kind of track you could lose yourself in on a perfect acid trip. More importantly, it reminds you why you’re here: 13 tracks deep, still locked in, still along for the ride. By this point, you’re not just listening to “SEX FOR MONEY”—you’re a fan.

Not for the timid and not for the tame, A Boy & A Girl are an EDM outfit based out of Hollywood, CA. Recently discovered by Diplo’s record label Mad Decent and Dillon Francis, their wild synth lines and massive sub bass have exploded throughout the music community - flooding festivals like Electric Daisy Carnival and Ultra Miami, as well as the hottest dance clubs in America like Exchange LA and Avalon.  In addition to breaking out with an official remix of Dillon Francis and NGHTMRE's hit “Need You,” a remix of their song “Stampede” featuring Armanni Reign and Reid Speed was included in Excision’s massive 2016 Shambhala Mix. 

With other releases on Big Beat/Atlantic and Play Me Records, A Boy & A Girl are prepping for a busy 2017 packed with shows, festivals, and collaborations.
