Baham is a coming ‘together’ in the creation of a shared experience, a musical partnership between friends, an artistic expression of a collective.  A multimedia project led by the Montreal based The Doctors, the duo of Houman Farzin & Kam Kafi bring together elements of folk music reinterpreted through electronica. 

Their ‘You Are Simin’ EP for Blond:ish’s ABRACADABRA will tickle your technicolour senses, and with an added remix from Gab Rhome & Adisyn, another spiritually effecting release enters the ABRACADABRA catalogue. 

“We found this amazing 70's Persian Western record where the main verse says "You are the one", and thought how poetic to use that as our first release. It was like it chose us itself. The Shahre-farang from the cover art, originally designed by Maryam Khosrovani, inspired this idea of a glimpse into a foreign world, and here we are offering everyone a glimpse into our culture in a playful manner. Collaborating with Mahmood Schricker on ‘Call It Love’, Baham describe their collaborator as “…a next-level character who makes some pretty eclectic music. He plays multiple instruments and has this in-depth knowledge of Persian music from pop to traditional”.

A collaboration with my dear friend https://soundcloud.com/maaruo. The piece was named after a lake, near the cottage where I spent a lot of time in my childhood. It brings me such great memories.

Greatly inspired by nature, a lot of samples in this track were taken during hikes Marco and I did last spring near the lake.

Now marching into its third year as a label, Behrouz's Do Not Sit On The Furniture continues to furnish us with some of the most captivating, organic and deep house possible. Defying the curse of 2020, the label has been consistent in its approach and delivery this year, perpetually immersing us in a sound that transcends the dancefloors and permeates our imagination in ways that many labels can only dream of. 
Following big dispatches from SEGG, Shai T and Dorian Craft comes another sonic delight from Matthias Meyer. A kindred sonic spirit, here the Watergate legend makes his debut with the beautiful 'Lacuna'. Eight minutes of sultry, dusky moonlit house pleasure, slowly but surely 'Lacuna', created in collaboration with good friend Xinobi, opens out with layers of sweeping, swooping chords and instrumentation over a loose, light-footed jacking beat. Gathering momentum throughout, there's a touching moment of respite on the breakdown before the emotions takeover for the grand finale. 
It's complemented by another like-minded soul as Warung's Facundo Mohrr also makes his label debut with an exemplary remix. Extending the groove by well over a minute and adding a distinctly Latin hip-wriggling twist with a rolling beat and sprightly keys bringing a whole new musical layer. 
One track, one remix, one super-consistent label, two on-point producers: Do Not Sit On The Furniture continue to march into the unknown. You'd be wise to join them.
