I'm sure by this point everyone is used to seeing yettz and I's names together but this track is definitely a different style to what we've done thus far. This track started out as usual with us trying to get a new track going and this time we pulled in a track that yettz had been bumping at that time and so we played around with that. We started by chopping out bits of the original track and repitching and stretching the track to fit what we wanted until it took the form that it does now with all that was left to structure out the tune and add appropriate drums which were mainly done by yettz this time and he executed them perfectly. Like with all our other tracks its such a natural process working with yettz and I often say to him while he's in control of the mouse and keyboard, "Yo g its like you can read my mind, that's exactly what I wanted you to do!" but with this track it was a bit slower to finish just because it wasn't a track we were super focused on finishing quickly at the time but it soon evolved into such a wavy track that I couldn't wait on it anymore and asked if I could use it for this project. At that point the other two tracks had been fully finished so this was all that was left to mix and master and once this was done so was the EP (outside of the artwork).
As always yettz and I have loads more tracks that are still in the works and we hope you look forward to whatever style we do next. (Also, be on the lookout for a new EP from yettz coming soon which might have a certain sorcerer appearing on it!) 

Huge thanks to my g Quantum Echo (https://www.instagram.com/conveyedecho/) for his original photography that I used for the artwork. I was very adamant about it being his photograph that was used in the art because I knew his style would match the sound.

"We started this track in yettz's room late last year and finished it in only a couple of hours. We pulled across some Gundam samples, FF midi, and some old school female vocal sample packs amongst other things to make this one so I think it has a pretty interesting vibe to it whilst still being pretty wavy too." - Abrakadaniel.

So with this track and 'start ting beat' (https://soundcloud.com/abrakadanieluk/abrakadaniel-start-ting-beat) were both started and mostly done during my most recent trip to Tokyo at the beginning of the year. I wanted to try and make some tracks while I was back there during the small moments of down time in my grandparents house. Both these tracks were inspired by another track of mine that I had just recently finished at the time and I wanted to expand on that sound but while also keeping things simple. Also, both these tracks were started off by making the main hook and then having the rest of the track was built around these main ideas, adding more and more until a beat was formed. Neither of these tracks are particularly complex and as such I reflect that by acknowledging them as just beats but they are both good enough for me to want to release so here they are.

in leu of my recent lack of music making due to uni work (even tho i study music tech) i decided to start and finish a new track every day for as long as i can to get me back into making tracks. this may only last a few days or maybe even a couple months, idk but its a cool challenge for myself. 

so for this one i cheated (already lol) and used an existing idea for this track. i didnt know what to do with the melody so i just made a basic beat with it. the result is good enough to satisfy me but its also not really a 'finished' track so its in this weird limbo. feel free to hmu if you think you can write bars to it or something cos im down for that

in leu of my recent lack of music making due to uni work (even tho i study music tech) i decided to start and finish a new track every day for as long as i can to get me back into making tracks. this may only last a few days or maybe even a couple months, idk but its a cool challenge for myself.

this track is my fav so far, i sampled Home which ive been wanting to for a while but i forgot about it until i went through some of my folders on my desktop and found it again. i took a few 4-8bar loops and messed around with them and threw some away until i ended up building the loop that i did. the track loops perfectly which is why i called it 'Möbius Loop' (also i jus watched a video about a mag lev möbius loop. its not really house but whatever, its the closest genre i guess, maybe moombah but meeeh whatever
the artwork is a pic of some gear at @killro's uni that i took while visiting so shouts to him, the image has nothing to do with the track tho, im jus already running out of pics lol

Möbius Loop 「Home」

So I've had this track waiting for a long time now. A few months back I watched Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou for the first time and I was very, very impressed with it as an experience. Obviously no spoilers here but I will say the sound track to it captures the mood so well. There are many amazing BGM tracks and insert themes but my favourite was the ED theme from the first episode. I really wanted to capture the hollow and lonely feeling the show has by having a quiet and radio-esque introduction, to set the mood, then quickly it is juxtaposed by the big rumbling reese bass and the opening of the filters that (though less lonely sounding) still captures the epic emptiness that the show shows us. Or at least this is what I had in mind when I was making the track. The little garage-y section towards the end is there for variety but also is more upbeat and slightly lifts the mood which is also a strong theme that SSR has throughout... Despite how alone we are, we still have each other.

Quick shouts to @Killro and @yettz for taking a listen to the track and sharing their opinions before I released this. Next track that I'll release should hopefully be another collab with the man himself, yettz.
