Melting Dogmas are 4Cantons and Numèric, who have been friends for a long time with a passion for electronic music as their leitmotiv. Starting from their two solo projects, they have recently decided to go one step further and start producing club minded electronic music between IDM, Techno and Electro. In fact, the name of the project, Melting Dogmas, was born precisely from the intention of generating a hodgepodge that manages to dilute the limits of these genres.

A personal and vital commitment to its creator, Damià Llorens Picó (AKA We Are Not Brothers, PanDemian and Cançoner Industrial) in order to send highly impressive messages through music and a thunderous and caustic audiovisual live experience.

Broadly speaking, we could include Abraxas visceral sound within electronic music with echoes of different styles and sub-styles wrapped in a modern discourse and a current sound: techno, industrial and post-industrial music, EBM and its more modern side Techno Body Music, and finally, more noisy and experimental sounds, enveloped in a certain cyberpunk influence and a dense darkwave aura. All them mixed, creating a unique sound that hits in the face of those listening to it, especially in live.

Dancing as an act of rebellion (Soil Records), his barf of introduction, is a double LP with remixes by other darkwave electronic artists such as Geistform, SMforma, Ober Dada, HBK1, SOJ or Melting Dogmas. An album that will be a powerful weapon that will include a very special limited edition with an incendiary molotov pack.

"Dancing as an act of rebellion" is the first Abraxas LP in collaboration with the Valencian label Soil Records. A compilation of the first project recordings released between 2020 and 2021 plus some new tracks and, in addition to this, a second disc by other darkwave electronic artists remixing the first one: Geistform, We Are Not Brothers, Ober Dada, Melting Dogmas, SMforma, HBK1, José Rodríguez, SOJ and PanDemian.

Throughout the World, dance has always been a vital act of rebellion, so on a conceptual level, the album aims to vindicate dance as a weapon of protest and struggle. Because on one hand, it has always been an area of ​​control for the dominant culture but, on the other hand, the world has always used it as an instrument of social activism. Proof of the first is that patriarchy has always equated the female body dancing with prostitution; from the second, something as recent as the demonstrations with feminist dances in Latin America against the same patriarchy. And we can count dozens of examples in which dance has played an important role in political-social battles, from the famous "ghost dances" of the Native Americans to the Extinction Rebellion dances at COP26 in Glasgow last November.

Mythical sentences such as that of the pioneering North American anarchist Emma Goldman "If I can't dance, I don’t want to be part of your revolution" or that of the Chilean president Salvador Allende -sadly muerdered by the CIA- "There will be no revolution without songs", only reinforce these ideas.

Dancing is joy and freedom. Joy is power. Dance is expression of truth. The truth cannot be hidden in a dancing body. And dance feeds us with joy, reminding us of who we are and that we are worthy. And that is not tolerable for the establishment, who wants us to be sat and still. That is the reason why dance movements have been so powerful and so transgressive.

Beyond this vindictive allegation, the LP deals with issues as important and controversial as anti-capitalism; environmentalism, climate change, collapse and the human being as a virus; sexism, misogyny, feminicide and heteropatriarchy; concept of homeland and nation; working class, class war and revolution; disinformation, disinformation, post-truth and fake news; the scourge of religion or the decline of Western civilization.

Abraxas is a halfway project between dark dance electronic music, philosophical reflection, socio-political activism and musical entrepreneurship. Its main goal is to shake bodies and minds by spreading messages of individual and social self-criticism from the point of view of duality, extremes and contradiction, inherent to the human being and capitalist society.

Quiet Before The Last Storm

"Religious music for atheists" is a work in collaboration with the Valencian producer and DIY craftsman artist Bavs. The track, a kind of dirty rave-techno trip, contains samples from the EP "Música religiosa para ateos", produced using a great variety of metallic sounds, toy locutions, bass lines and above all, a treatment that oscillates clearly and is extremely dirty. In addition to this, Abraxas has added some surrealistic and hilarious dialogues taken from a televised "christian vs atheist" debate seen on American TV in the 80s.

Religious Music For Atheists (f. Bavs)

It was the second Abraxas Project song. With the play on words "Fake news, good news" (no news, good news), Abraxas gives birth to his second track, darker, more complex and convoluted than the previous advance, "Embrace capitalism (until it strangles you)", taking an unexpected turn with the intention of demonstrating the sound richness and variety of this project that is still taking its first steps.

Layers upon layers of thick synths, eerie crunches in stereo, scorching acidic progressions, a tremendous ending and a fake Barack Obama as a master of ceremonies in a dystopian nightmare in the age of over information, misinformation, fake news, and the war for the control of the opinion of the multitude, stunned and disoriented after absorbing huge doses of these types of garbage every day.

A cut through which is made an attempt to raise awareness about the danger of such influential fake news, especially in these US elections times in which conspiracy theories come into play -or not- such as Russian interference or the control of the voting intention through Facebook, and that takes phrases from the speech of the American actor, director and comedian Jordan Peele and the social experiment he did in 2019, in which he cooked one of this news and successfully dispensed it to American society, uncovering it afterwards with the aim of warning about the ease of manufacturing this type of falsehood thanks to new technologies plus a minimum of inventiveness.

Fake News, Good News

It was the first Abraxas Project song, a simple, clear and forceful anti-capitalist message, based on famous quotes by so diverse personalities as Albert Einstein, Michael Moore or Henry Rollins from Black Flag, covered up among a tangle of electronic sounds, techno, darkwave, EBM and industrial music, with the aim of fulfilling the strange and challenging goal of making a large mass of public dance and later make them think about the messages that have consciously or unconsciously absorbed during the very human, trivial and necessary exercise of dancing in society. In the video, directed by Juan Carlos Cembreros (ScreenWarriors) and starring the model Miranda Díez, the degradation of the Western individual to which capitalism itself submits with its subtle mechanisms that we all embrace with supposed happiness is represented in a hyper-explicit way, capturing this concept in a young and beautiful woman who ends up totally shattered and unhinged because in our society the youngest are the most susceptible to capitalist trickery and women in particular, the most disadvantaged in a still unbalanced balance between genders at all levels and, in addition to this, in a sad 21st century in which we are witnessing the tyranny of beauty and the hyper-sexualization of girls. Embrace capitalism, allow the exploitation of yourself and others. Watch your own suicide.

Semiconducteur Dopage Remix (Poupees Electriques)

Third Abraxas Project song, forceful track, produced again with José Rodríguez at Estudio Antimateria/Moog24, is a hand in hand collaboration with the Mexican cyberpunk performer Espectra Negra, a multifaceted artist and activist known as a ritualistic noise and industrial music producer, body art performer, experimental filmmaker, sound designer, dj, tech-teacher and radio producer. Thanks to her anarchist background, she works constantly in the field of education about and for minorities as well as for artists who want to politised their views. She is also part of the Berlin based zine collective “AHACk: Sarah Connor Has a Dream'' which publishes her written text on technology, transhumanism, feminism, capitalist realism and cyberpunk as a movement of resistance: https://bit.ly/3aQFMVJ
 
Both musicians decided to work together after the immediate connection felt when they met in Berlin in 2019, the city where she is actually based for almost two decades now. The result of that encounter is this powerful Techno Body Music song called ‘La maté porque era mía’ [I killed her ‘cause she was mine], inspired by the case of Mexican mother Yesenia Zamudio who raised a strong protest right outside the building where her own daughter was brutally murdered in Mexico City in 2016. Zamudio portraits the loss, frustration and pain of many mothers in the country who are victims of gender based violence up to this day. This track is a strong Ode against femicide, misogyny and violence towards women not only in the context of Mexico, which happens to be one of the most affected countries, but a worldwide phenomenon including Germany and Spain which needs to be addressed since many perpetrators come from all ages, cultures and social backgrounds. Many are people close to the victims such as partners or ex-partners. A serious problem we all need to take action against.

Abraxas is a totally independent and self-managed project halfway between harsh electronic music, philosophical reflection and socio-political criticism and activism. Its main goal is to shake bodies and minds by spreading messages of individual and social self-criticism from the point of view of duality, extremes and contradictions, inherent to the human being and capitalist society.

A personal commitment to its creator Demian Abraxas (AKA We Are Not Brothers, PanDemian y Cançoner Industrial) in order to send highly impressive messages through music and a thunderous and caustic audiovisual live experience.

Broadly speaking, we could include Abraxas visceral sound within electronic music with echoes of different styles and sub-styles wrapped in a modern discourse and a current sound: techno, industrial and post-industrial music, EBM and its more modern side Techno Body Music, and finally, more noisy and experimental sounds, enveloped in a certain cyberpunk influence and a dense darkwave aura. All them mixed, creating the new tags #HarshElectronics, #EBMetal and #TechNoise with a unique sound that hits in the face of those listening to it, especially in live.

Dancing as an act of rebellion (Soil Records), his barf of introduction, is a double LP with remixes by other darkwave electronic artists such as Geistform, SMforma, Ober Dada, HBK1, SOJ or Melting Dogmas. A powerful weapon that includes a very special limited edition with an incendiary molotov pack.
