TECHNO: AnD

We are happy to present you a multi-facetted and multi-talented artist today, Anna Z! Very early she started taking several art courses, while she enjoyed an education that was specialized on mathematics and physics. She gained a deeper insight into the world of sound, frequencies and music in the most intimate way by learning several instruments with a focus on guitar.
After her graphic design studies, during which she focused more on her artistic skills and learned to work with several programs from editing software to complex 3d modeling and programming, she worked as a designer and illustrator for several years. 
Anna moved to Berlin in 2012 and started studying architecture at the University of Arts Berlin (Universität der Künste Berlin). She soon got into contact with the Berlin electronic music culture, especially with the modular synth scene and started designing and manufacturing some of her own musical gear. 2015 ANNA Z started to work with the visual guidance of the WERK crew and their events. She soon became a part of the operating crew and record label (with J.Manuel). 
Her art comes from the most different experiments, including, programming, hardware, drawing, photographies, oil and acrylic painting, all this with the music in mind. Besides experimenting with the following programs: quartz composer, max, processing, grasshopper, adobe programs, ableton live. She started making music on her own. Working with Reaktor and Cycling 74, she is creating her own instruments.
Her graphics became the face of WERK and the project today and now it would be inconceivable without her work. In July 2018 Anna had a first official music live experience with modular synth live jam together with J.Manuel at //: about blank.

El irlandés nos proporciona un set hipnótico donde quedan bien patentes sus influencias. Podemos encontrar además como casi la totalidad de temas son propios algo que demuestra su buen hacer como productor. We continue with our Label of Month section. In this second installment of February our colleagues from Matterwave Records invite Lee Holman. The Irishman gives us a hypnotic set where his influences are very clear. We can also find that almost all the tracks are his own, something that demonstrates his good work and experience as a producer. The mix is made with an exquisite technique and gives us a very enjoyable progression. You have the tracklist available to keep any track that catches your attention.

Nasi is a DJ, producer, and multi-instrumentalist based in her hometown of Tbilisi. Her musical journey began with cello, percussion, and classical music, which she effectively incorporates into her alternative and experimental electronic music projects, such as MokuMoku and Metastasis. In her sets, you will experience unique rhythmical sensations alongside her characteristic ambient/noise/musique concrète sounds. Nasi's extensive musical background results in a rich, distinctive sound with sophisticated structures and experimental elements. She primarily performs groove-infused, fast-paced, peak-time techno. One of the main characteristics of her production is shaped not only by her musical experiences but also by her non-binary identity. The techno scene serves as the best platform for her to represent this synthesis.
