Once again Life and Death presents an assemblage of some of today’s finest artists with a Various Artists release of such high quality that it could have easily stood out as distinct and separate releases. But together these producers and their contributions combine to create something even greater than the sum of their parts. A story assembled from different voices that slowly builds from Sei A’s opening Muladhara-centered “Hyper Venom” and takes off from there, following the path of these musical Mahatmas as they riff on various states of elevation. 

Following Sei-A’s opener is Locked Groove’s shift to the Undenary with “Eleven”, a triumphant score for the everyman’s ascent. From there, the ever adept Scuba comes strong with “Glacial”, a deep track that shifts focus back and forth between both what lies below the surface and what climbs above it. And then, finishing the rise upward is Alex.Do’s expertly woven “Rising” which delivers on the promise that its title offers, never backing down and moving ever onwards and upwards even in its final rising tones.

As with AEON 18 Alex Niggemann steps up with another landmark voyage into the realms of me- lodic, deep techno, delivering two tracks with a sound that defines a very popular and relevant style. Divergent is a stirring track with stabbing synths and a breakbeat drum pattern, punctuated by an evocative drop around half way through the track. As is customary on Alex Niggemann AEON releases, the B-Side, Luminance, takes things into deeper territory, with a rolling bassline and a deep percussive groove.
Another fantastic release from the all conquering label, and a one in particular that has been played throughout the whole summer in almost every set by Tale Of Us (e.g. Circoloco), Mind Against (e.g. Boiler Room) and Scuba.

The EP takes us for a journey into the dynamic percussive techno sounds of the Italian artist where Igor Ochoa contributes with his slightly darker-sounding remix of Transmutation.

For over 17 years, Christian Bonori has been playing and producing music in a wide range of styles, from House to Techno and has released tracks with many renowned labels, such as the SYSTEM RECORDINGS,
PLUSQUAM RECORDS, MYDUST RECORDS. He has recently also signed with the YOSHITOSHI Recordings.

Igor Ochoa, a Berlin-based vinyl lover, DJ and producer from Switzerland, already made an impression on the German scene by hypnotizing the audience of such venues as Sisyphos, Salon zu Wilden Renate or Suicide Circus.

For the fourth release on our journey, we reunited with our belgian talent Modulo. This time around he brought his friends Harmonious, Manfredt, Monotribe and Fons to deliver three delicate Originals, which explore the natural flow of life and the philosophical questions, that come with it. 

„The Panacea" introduces the EP with the last hints of sirens in a hectic city, fading over to bird sounds, crickets and an arrangement of beautifully build melodies, that invite you in for a ride with mother nature. Like „Mountain People" before, it will pull the right strings, to get you in an uplifting and emotional mood.

Title track „Find The Truth" continues to surprise with subtle and emotional melodies and adds broad pads, lovely flute progressions and hearthwarming sub-grooves, which lay in the center of the production and bring the unique touch to such a worthy title track. 

With an exciting evolution through the months, „With The Wind" has turned into a bliss production, that might be the most surprising inclusion in this package. A crunchy kick blessed with a melodic bassline hook and some wonderful harmonics, could stick in your head for quite a while, even hours after listening in. A production, crafted in such a subtle way, it's soundwaves quite literally go with the wind. 

To complement , but also confront the overall atmosphere of the Originals, our homegrown talent Quatri delievered two alternate versions to „Find The Truth". His „4AM" Remix gives a radically different perspective of the flute lead by mixing it into a techno-oriented environment.

His „Nyarai" remix adds organic rhytm and percussions to Modulo and Manfredt's melodical craft, giving it a rather fitting tribal spin. As always, please enjoy and have some fun with this EP.
