AN ABSOLUTE FANTASY COVER OF "AUBURN EPITAPHS" BY MUTUAL BENEFIT

Covering a song by an artist you respect is hard enough. It can be almost impossible when that artist is also a "friend" of yours. The history between Mute Benny and myself is storied and violent, so this brutally lush, gothic crooner seemed the perfect counterpoint to our relationship. 

I've been fooling around with this since last summer and playing it in my live set lately. Figured it was time to get serious and send it out to the world.

a collection of songs from 2016-2017 that were part of an unrealized project i was crafting as i began exploring my queer and trans identity. i could never quite crack/finish the tracks, but i grew to love the demos i'd made. so, i decided to simply release them and let them serve as a time capsule for a time when i was still coming to terms with my gender and sexuality.
