Beginning At The End

first song recorded with my primary creation/recording platform, Reason, in the FOUR YEARS since i lost my original copy of the program. MUCH, MUCH more material to come with far more complexity and instrumentation. patience! i'm just getting back on my feet with Reason and it's gonna take me a bit to fire up the engines that previously powered my classic material of the last decade.

this is a deceptive track. its entirely beatless; just a simple synthetic excursion until about 3:15 into the song. then, at the 3:30 mark - BOOM GOES THE DEATHOMITE! rougher arpeggiations begin to hint at whats to come in the next 15 seconds, which is a distorted, delay-ridden guitar attack that lasts exactly one minute until the song itself is complete. this track is certainly all about the outro. this is the first rough edit of a song concieved at 10 am and born at 12:30 pm on tuesday, July 26th 2011. much more will be added to this track in the coming weeks, including some clean, echoing guitar and pad/string notes intended to accent the beatless melody that occupies nearly all of the beginning of the song. check back for updates to this track if you enjoy this first rough cut.

the first complete song i ever wrote, age 15. this is a new, more funk'dified and groovy take on the song, but stripped down to its most simplistic and bare elements with just a repetitive drum loop and 4 layers of effects-laden guitars, done in March 2012.
