New Order foi uma banda inglesa de rock e música eletrônica formada em Manchester no ano de 1980 pelos integrantes do grupo Joy Division logo após o suicídio do vocalista Ian Curtis.

A banda é amplamente considerada a difusão máxima entre rock e musica eletrônica, foi pioneira na união do rock com ritmos eletrônicos dançantes (principalmente a disco music sintetizada e o electropop). Tanto por sua música quanto por sua própria casa noturna inaugurada em 1982, a Haçienda, o New Order é um dos nomes da música mais importantes no rock e na música eletrônica, ao lado das bandas Depeche Mode e Kraftwerk.

Sua formação atual inclui Bernard Sumner (vocais, guitarra), Stephen Morris (bateria) e Phil Cunningham (guitarra, sintetizadores). Em 2001, a tecladista/guitarrista Gillian Gilbert (entrou em 1980, casada com Stephen Morris) saiu da banda devido a problemas familiares, e em 2007 o baixista Peter Hook anunciou sua saída da banda devido a desentendimentos com Bernard e Stephen. Após a saída de Hook, a banda se desfez.

The new style of 140bpm is certainly the best way now taken by the Brazilian duo.
